I met with Dr. Brader and for my own reasons decided to have the open proceedure. I think that Dr. Brader is a good surgeon and is very kind. Anyone who is considering having Lap RNY I think that Dr. Brader is a good choice. So I now have a appointment with Dr. Kaczmarski on October 29, 2004.

From the first moment I experienced Barix Clinic, The entire staff and Dr. Kaczmaski, I felt that I had found the perfect match for me. The facility caters only to Bariatric patients. The auxilliary, medical and administrative staff knows their business and made me feel extremely comfortable. Dr. Kacmarski, totally informed my husband and I of all the pros and cons to the surgery. He was very supportive and the administrative staff and medical staff followed me throughou the entire pre-op testing and mentally supported me with all my frustrations. My hospital care was top notch, the nursing care and support staff are great. They have nutritionists on staff who lead you through your very structured new life . The medical and support staff follow you very closely. I live out of town and have been called quite often, just as they are a phonecall away. Dr. Kacmarski really outlined what the problems that could happen throughly and I have been able to check in with him with any concerns or problems I have encountered. I can not conceive having any one else perform the surgery!!I ony wish they were a bit closer to my home so I could physically go into the facility more often other than for check-ups.

The first time I met Dr.K he really made me feel comfrontable. He explained the surgery to me and what would happen from there.

I thought Dr. Kaczmarski was very professional and certainly honest and upfront about all aspects of the surgery (both positive and negative). He answered all of my questions and seemed impressed that I had done my research before meeting with him! I am looking forward to him doing by WLS. His staff couldn't do enough to be helpful in working with me and answering all of my questions. They are all friendly and genuinely sincere in wanting to help and assist and make me feel comfortable. I have complete confidence in Dr. Kaczmarski and the staff at the Barix Center.

Dr K was very nice and very knowledgeable. After I met him at the consult, I didn't see him again. The office staff was very helpful. The clinic is very involved in your care after surgery. They have a very structured program to help you with your new eating habits. Dr. K was very informative about the risks of having the surgery, and what I should do as a patient to avoid any complications post-op. I would say that Dr. K is wonderful and I have no reservations about having chose him as my surgeon.

Dr. Kaczmarski is a very nice Doctor. My first interaction with him showed a very caring and compassionate Doctor who really wanted to answer all questions that I had about the surgery. He spent as much time as I needed answering all of my questions before I made a decision. I think his surgical competence is great and that he has a nice bedside manner. My first few days after surgery were horrible with constant nausea. I had a problem with the ox sat monitor one night and it must have fallen off of my finger. The nurse on staff abruptly woke me up and made me sit in a chair for the next four hours. She didn't really give me any direction on what I was supposed to be doing and I thought she was quite rude. I remember when I woke up seeing the monitor say something around 80, but someone told the Doctor that it was 40. I told the Doctor that I didn't appreciate being treated so rudely and he at first stood up for the nurse and was quite rude with me. I think he was just frustrated because he thought I was being a difficult patient but I knew what I was feeling. He was not listening to me at first but after he listened and I told him there was no way it was at 40, he saw my side and we kind of met in the middle. I think that most of this feeling from me came from me not feeling very well since surgery and wondering if I had made the biggest mistake of my life. In the end, he was very nice and forgot about that incident, and I pushed it aside so that I could focus on my recovery. He did have the head nurse come in an speak with me as well so that she could be aware of what I was experiencing. I thought that this approach was very good so that they could see that a patient was affected by care.

Dr. Kaczmarski was great to talk with and gave me all the information that I needed and made sure that I understood everything that was going to happen. He was very kind to me after my surgery and very gentle when taking care of me. Everyone at the BTC center was so kind and so patient with me I would reccommend them to anyone having the surgery. They treat you like a real person!

Dr. Kaczmarski was very professional, but down to earth too. He would listen intently as I spoke or asked questions. He would answer my questions and asked if I understood the answer he gave me. As time went on and my surgery date approached Dr. Kaczmarski, Audrey Soloman, Marge, Lance, Josh, Angela and the entire staff and I became close friends. These people made me feel like I was a family member, not just a person getting an operation. I can truly say that my only regret is that I did not have the surgery sooner. I am now 8 weeks post-op and Dr. Kaczmarski's staff calls from time to time to check in and see if I have any questions as my follow-up care continues. Care in the Center was absoulety the BEST.

dr. k was very thorough. he explained the procedure and what kind of surgery i was a candidate for. he has had a lot of experience in the field. but after the consultation i haven't delt with him again.

the staff was helpful. but until your insurance is cleared it is a waiting game.
i did have to call several times to get my files faxed to the main office. it was over two weeks for that.

it is a hurry up and wait knd of thing. my experience overall was a good one

my surgery went very smooth. i was up and walking the first day. although was out of it on drugs. the nurses were outstanding

In January 2004, I went to the Barix Clinics and Langhorne, PA. Dr. Kaczmarski spent a lot of time with me and my husband answering every question we had. I really appreciated his candor and the amount of time that he spent with us. He is very blunt and to the point, but at this point that is what I needed. I was very impressed with him. The office staff was all wonderful to work with. They were all very professional and sensitive to my weight problem. No fat phobics in this office!
