I love Dr. K and the barix clinic. Great bedside manor! My surgery was effortless...my scars you can barely see. Very informative! So glad our paths crossed...very pleased! I would recommend him to everyone!

I first met with Dr. K in April of 2014 for a consultation. I was already somewhat familiar with the bypass, but wanted to learn more about the sleeve option. Dr. K took his time explaining the surgery and its benefits. He was very honest and straightforward with me regarding goals and expectations for post-op results. Ultimately, I decided to go ahead with surgery with Dr. K. His office staff was very efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable during the pre-op process. I had my surgery in July 2014 with no complications. Dr. K and his staff are very friendly and professional. The facility/hospital is clean, modern, and is just for WLS! Even the other patients I met during my stay there were friendly and supportive! I would recommend Dr. K to anyone considering WLS!

Dr. Kaczmarski, is very caring and will spend a great deal of time explaining the procedure's to you. He will allow you to ask as many questions as you have. He is a great doctor and very knowledgeable about weight loss surgery. The nursing staff made my stay after surgery very pleasant. All of the staff were very professional and I am very happy that I chose the Barix Cinics.

I briefly met Dr. Kaczmarski at the informational session the hospital had on Bariatric Surgery. I felt very comfortable at this session and ultimately made the decision to have surgery with him.

However, upon my first appointment with him, I felt differently - something had changed in him. I did not feel he really listened to my concerns, and just kept talking about the surgery and did not allow me time to ask questions. Unfortunately, I felt like I could have been anyone that he could give the information too. He just didn't seem that involved or interested. However, his staff (Cindy and Sharon) are absolutely amazing and motivating, and I decided to still stick with him because of them.

I went through all of the testing that was required and was scheduled for surgery on a Wednesday. Sadly, the program he was at was being shut down and I couldn't have surgery there. What's more frustrating than that is that while my surgery was scheduled for a Wednesday, Dr. K wanted to wait until that Monday to tell me. I can only thank his staff who called me on Friday to let me know. They did not want to see me fasting the entire weekend only to be told that surgery would not be taking place. Dr. K never called to explain or say anything. What a disappointment!

While I would not follow Dr. K to another program, I would follow his staff. There are enough other surgeons and programs to go to that can offer the patient an excellent doctor. I don't know if Dr. K got burnt out from the time the other reviews were written until now, but I hope he can do something that will bring back the spark other people saw in him.

my over all 1st impression was really good he explained everything listened very well i didn't feel rushed one bit, as time passed he stayed the same. is staff who i know as debbie could not have been better she is a real joy helped with everything paper,appointments what ever i needed.i like everything about the whole group i was very lucky to have them.that they are truely down to earth anyone that needs help with any weight issue's Dr.Kaczmarski is the person they are looking for.you know one thing he did really surprised me and i must say how supportive i felt is when the day after surgery he came down to xray and was there with me to make sure everything was running good,if anything i was so happy to see him and i didn't even have to ask for him he is top of the line.he told be everthing i needed to know about before and after surgery and you know he was right on the money.there is not a number high enough for DR.Kaczmarski if it was me he's off the chart's.......

I felt completely comfortable with him and look forward to having my lap-band surgery soon. is office staff is also awesome; they are always so nice and helpful when I call.rnrn*Update: Had my surgery on Sept. 30th 2008. Dr. Kaczmarski is THE MAN. He has always been so nice and upfront. He told me I did a great job of losing weight prior to surgery and that my liver was \"Flat as a pancake\"!rn

I was terrified the first time I met Dr K. I was late for my appointment because of an accident on the turnpike, then I got lost trying to find the clinic. I thought for sure he would tell me to turn back around and drive the two hours to go home. Not the case, he waited there for me to arrive safely. The first thing he said was for me to calm down, things happen and he didnt mind waiting and he was just happy I was there safe.rnMy next appointment with him, my oldest son came along, as he had some questions and concerns as well about the surgery. Not many doctors would take the time to explain what was going to happen in terms that a teenager would understand. He was very open, honest and caring of not only my feelings and concerns but my childrens as well.rnDr. K has the BEST bedside manner you can ask for. The day of surgery, he joked with me, to help calm my fears of being put to sleep. He also sat with my family in the waiting area prior to surgery, spoke with my mom about her fears as well. A very caring man!rnI was very sorry to find out he left Barix, but know he will bring much happiness to those who choose him as their surgeon at the present hospital he is at now.

Dr. K. was very nice the one time I have met him. He is very straight forward about the risks involved, but I believe this is out of concern. The office staff is great and many of the people of staff have had the surgery. The chairs are extra large which is great and everyone makes you feel welcome.rnrnI would like to have seen him again before my surgery date but I don't think that is going to happen. I was in for my consultation in July and will see the Dr. again until December. rnrnI will update after the surgery.rnrnDECEMBER 2006 - I was just looking back and can't believe how I really thought life was going to be great at that point. Maybe the reason Dr K. moves so much is that he has to get away from the people like myself that he let down. 6 years after my surgery I am at 220....I only started around 290 so a 70lb weight loss while great for a diet, doesn't seem great for an OPEN RNY. By the way, a good portion of that weight loss if from the plastic surgery I had during the last two years.rnrnI am at a loss of what to do know.....at a size 20 I have yet to achieve my goal which would be an 8 or 10.... :-( I might be fat for the rest of my life and yet that doesn't seem fair after the steps I took.

My first impression of Dr. Kaczmarski was that he was an intelligent and compassionate man. He spent a lot of time answering questions, explaining the procedure and what to expect in the long run. His staff were also informative and treated everyone with respect and dignity. I feel that anyone having this surgery would benefit from Dr. K.'s skill as a surgeon and outstanding bedside manner. I was completely comfortable with him and his staff. I chose Dr. K. based on his skills as a surgeon, but also that he had an aftercare program that I believed was critical and essential to successful weight loss. I believe that Dr. Kacsmarski was the right surgeon for me as I am a critical thinker with an intense personality. I want to know all the whys and hows. I want nothing left to the imagination. He was thorough with the risks. In my opinion, Dr. Kacsmarski is the best!
