Dr Kaczmarski was very personable and completely upfront about both the positive effects and the negative effects of WLS. He didn't appear to be pushing towards any specific type of surgery and gave my husband and myself his undevided attention. It was nice to actually have a medical doctor answer my questions as if I was an intelligent individual and not some little child. I felt that all of my options were laid out completely and I have a complete understanding of what to expect. I understand that he works with a scalpel and not a magic wand :-) All of the staff at Barix Clinic in Langhourne PA which I have dealt with appear to be compassionate and knowledgable. Several have undergone the WLS themselves and have first hand experience. I feel comfortable dealing with them. It is up to God and the insurance company now :-)

i know it's very odd to not have anything negative to report about a doctor but i truly feel not one experience i had with my surgeon was negative. my first impression of dr. k was one of a man who is truly gifted..compassionate and knowledgeable about his profession. from the moment i met him i felt totally reassured and safe in his hands. my opinion has not changed over the months since surgery. he was very honest about possible complications. there are some people in this world who you can tell immediately that they are good at what they do. dr. k is one of those people. but he's not only totally competant he's also the most caring surgeon i have met in a very long time. being his patient reminded me of when i was little and drs truly cared about the overall being of the patient. i always felt that if i had any concerns at all i could call him personally and he would be there for me. i never experienced any problems with his office staff. from consultation to surgery and thru aftercare my whole experience has been 100% positive. he is indeed a Godsend to someone like myself who decided to undergo surgery.

My first impression of Dr. Kaczmarski was that he was very serious and specific. He let you know the good and bad of the surgery. But overall was very nice and sensitive. My impression of him never really changed, I liked him all along, especially when he visited me after surgery every morning, that was considerate. For every visit I have had since the surgery, he has been very positive and helpful, answers all of my questions. His office staff was also very nice. Future patients should know that he is very serious about his work. Aftercare is stressed thoughout the entire process, and I liked that. The phonecalls came in all the time and made me feel like they really cared how I was doing when I got home. As far as surgical competence and bedside manner, Dr. Kaczmarski has booth and I would rate him extremely high and suggest that anyone looking into having WLS should visit with him and the Barix Clinics!

Dr. Kaczmarski was very nice. Professional, soft spoken, at very at ease. No rushing. Told his story first then spoke to me about my wishes. I had went in there wanting Lap Band and wanted some agreement in my choice and he was very supportive. Actually showed me the device. Barix clinic was a wonderful place. Though only there for the consult so far the staff and patient counselors were all wonderful and very helpful.

I first met Dr. Kaczmarski for a consultation in December of 2003. I chickened out for WLS then, and saw Dr. Kaczmarski for a second consultation in January of 2005. My initial opinion of him was very good. He was very professional, personable, and cordial. He tells it like it is, no fluff, which I appreciate. He didn't make me feel stupid for chickening out the first time. He has quite a bit of clearances that he wants me to do, which is more than a little stressful. But, I know it is too make sure I will come through the surgery alright in the end. He went over all the risks this surgery can have, as well as the benefits it can have for me. He strongly emphasized aftercare. He has done a large number of surgeries (over 1200) which is a plus for me. Having his MA return phone calls in a timely manner is my only negative comment thus far.
