Dr Overcash is a wonderful caring doctor. He is very straight forward about the surgery. He is careful to make sure you understand what you are in for, pre op and post op. He actually makes you think about why you would even consider having this type of surgery. Which made me do alot of soul searching before I began the process for getting approval for the surgery from my insurance carrier, BCBS Health Options. With the staff's help, I had no problems getting approved.
I would say that if I had it to do all overagin, I'd have Dr Overcash do the surgery again. I think that really says it all.

Post-op thoughts: I am so glad that I chose Dr. Overcash as my surgeon. He really did a fabulous job. I can't recommend him highly enough. You won't be disappointed. If I had to have surgery again, I would definitely want him as my surgeon again.

My first impression of Dr. Overcash was just what I had expected...smart, to the point, direct about risks, funny. I have heard he is a wonderful surgeon, and look forward to my surgery.

10/11/02 Dr. Overcash is the man! This doctor is a GREAT SURGEON. I am 3 months post op and I haven't had any problems other than the normal queasy, learning how to eat things. I expect to get my weight to goal within another 6 months and then I will be whole again. I can never thank Dr. Overcash enough for my new life.

6/6/02 My first impression of Dr. Overcash was of a man who is open and very professional.
The office staff was jovial and easy to talk to.
Dr. Overcash is no-nonsense, so if you aren't serious, don't go to him.
I'm afraid I didn't talk to him for very long so it was hard to get a complete impression of him. I guess I was so awestruck from the quick response.
Yes, he does have a support group which meets once a month.
He insists on exercise after the surgery and expects his patients to make serious life long changes.

My first impression of Dr Overcash is he is honest, straightforward and down to earth. His office staff is very friendly, always helpful when I call. I felt rushed even though the waiting room was not full. I do know he has had personl problems so I assume that was why. He was very clear on the risks, he point blank asked my husband if he was prepared to raise out son if something were to happen to me. I would rate him a 8 out of 10 only because I felt rushed.

Dr. Overcassh was very straight forward. He explained everything very detailed. He answered all my questions very honestly. He explained that this was an elective surgery and that I would be doing this because I elected to do so. His office staff was very bussy. I left there feeling like I didn't know what I needed to do next. The only reason I know what to do is because I have known people that went through this surgery. I did feel that Dr. Overcash was a little rushed do to the fullness of his office. He did explain the surgery very well. He was very detailed in what they would do. He also explained the importance of the after care and following the instruction. Overall I think he is a good decision for me.

Dr. Overcash is a truly remarkable physician. He tells it like it is and never sugar coats anything. He will take the time to answer any of your questions, but be prepared for him to answer them, before you ask. He is that thorough. His office staff is very knowledgeable and will help with anything they can.

My first impression of Dr Overcash is difficult to remember exactly - I was so nervous about the visit, I just remember how happy I was that he agreed to perform the procedure on me - 2 other patients were rejected while I was in the waiting room. He discussed at length the risks involved, and did not sugar-coat the procedure at all - I had to promise him that I would follow the directions given.

My impression of his staff is very high - they seem very professional and call me when they say they will.

My first impression of Dr. Overcash was that he is a man with sincere and concerns of ones well being as well as that person child/children if any.

There was no change in my impression of the Doctor, he is genuine and kind hearted.

The office staff was very kind specially Patrice.

I had no dislikes for anyone.

Just be on time and have information in order to get process faster.

Regular procedures for aftercare.

Yes he gives you a booklet at your consultation that helps and explains the procedures before and after the surgery.

Dr. Overcash went over the risk of the surgery therally and also noted verbally by tape recorder.

I give Dr. Overcash and excellent plus because he has done a great job overall and his staff is great.
