My first impression was that he was "cold".When I came in for pre-operation test's, he was easier to talk to. The office staff at Forest Health Medical Center, (in Ypsilanti) were very helpful and caring. The have a very structured aftercare program. Dr.Batay-Csorba has a good bedside manner and very competent as a surgeon.
I found Dr. BC to be very professional and to the point. He answered any questions we had and seemed patient. I dont really have a lot to say, he wasnt overly friendly but he was not short or discourteous either. He was just talking care of business, which actually impressed me. He was very articulate and covered everything well.
The office staff, well everyone except the receptionist was very nice. She seemed a bit grumpy, maybe she was just having a bad day, or maybe it was just her personality:) Overall though everyone was pleasant, even the receptionist was not really rude, just not overly friendly.
Dr. covered everything in detail including the importance of aftercare.
I would say on a 1 to 10 I would rate him an 8 1/2 ...would have been a 10 if he were a bit more personable but I am ok with that, as long as he knows what he is going :) he doesnt have to say much! lol But a bit more personabilty would have been nice.
I FELT REAL GOOD ABOUT MY SURGEON DR. THOMAS BATAY-CSORBA. MY IMPRESSION AT HIM NEVER CHANGED DURING MY CONSULTATION AND THAT MADE ME FEEL REAL GOOD.THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND INFORMATIVE. EVERYONE WAS VERY HELPFUL. DR. BATAY-CSORBA MADE SURE HE EXPLAINED THE AFTERCARE OF THIS PROCEDURE. THE AFTERCARE PROGRAM IS TO MAKE SURE YOU DO THE DIET THE WAY THEY PRESCRIBED IT TO YOU. DR.BATAY-CSORBA EXPLAINED THE SURGERY VERY WELL ADDRESSED THE RISKS OF SURGERY INFORMED ME THAT THE MOST CRITICAL STAGE IS YOUR SIX TO EIGHT WEEK POST OP. I RATE DR. BATAY-CSORBA A DOCTOR WHO REALLY KNOWS IS WORK AND TAKES PRIDE IN WHAT HE DOES.
My first visit he was very matter of facted answered every question I had it seemed it was very routine liked he had done it a millon times. When I went back after deciding that the surgrey was for me . He was a very different man, very caring and very interedted in me. I got the inpression that he is that way at the beginging to make 1you realize what a serious matter this is.His office staff were wonderful and made you feel very comfortable.I never ever wished I had went with another surgen. The after care was wonderful. He stressed to me how this was now my job to help myself he had done his part.Told me to call at any time I felt the need.
I first met Dr. Batay-Csorba in February 2001, at Bariatric Treatment Centers in Ypsilanti MI. He was very friendly, and took as much time needed to explain the procedure and answer all my questions. The office staff was very professional, and helpful. The risks were discussed at my first, and second visit, they were also addressed during the Psychological Evaluation. At my Pre-Admission Testing, I met with the dietitian to discuss new eating habits and was told I would have three visits from her during my hospital stay. At that time I would receive a booklet that gives aftercare procedures and directions.
Over all I feel that Bariatric Treatment Centers staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in this long process for approval.
MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS HE WAS VERY TO THE POINT AND PRECISE IN IS EXPLAINING THE PROCEDURE NAD THE RISKS. HIS STAFF WAS FANTASTIC. HE IS VERY SKILLED AND STRAIGHT FORWARD AND MY WIFE SAYS HE WAS JUST GREAT WITH HER BEFORE AND AFTER THE SURGERY. HE STRESSES THE SURGERY IS JUST THE FIRST STEP AND THE POSTOP INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLOWED TO A TEE. I WOULD RATE AS 10+. VERY THANKFUL AND PLEASED WITH WHAT HE HAS SHOW N ME BY I WEEK POSTOP.
I really liked Dr. Batay-Csorba the first time I met him. He was straight forward and told me exactly how the procedure was to be done.
BTC worked with DR. Batay as a whole. They all had there jobs to do, that went along with the surgery, the hospital stay, and aftercare. The nutritionists, they have called me at home several times since being released from the hospital. There is a on call Dr. that if I have questions or problems while at home, I can call there and ask, any time of the day or night.
Doctor Batay-Csorba doctor B.C. for short. He was every informed about the surgery.
But yet he was very short with you.
Now that he knows me a bit better he is very good to me and willing to help me in anyway.
The staff are very good and careing.
Nothing really
That he is a very good surgeon, but not always good with the bedside matter.
He is to the point with the after care and wants you to follow it to the tee.
yes he has a good structured aftercare
yes
he tells you just how it is.
I wopuld rate him, as a surgeon a 9 and a bedside matter of maybe a 5 until you got to know him.
surgical competence i have a husband that can hold my hand.
This is just my personal impressions and my experiences that i had with this surgery.
