I really liked Dr. Batay-Csorba. HE was very knowledgable and answered all my questions. He was also very gentle and aware of how he was saying things so I didn't feel put down or bad about asking for help in this manner. The day of surgery went awesome! My scar is wonderful! Aftercare is very emphasized. I saw him at 2weeks, 6weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and at a year. I was supposed to see him at 2 years, but living 6 hours away, it was too had to get down there. BTC is also wonderful in being available!!! When I started to gain weight because of my meds I called them to ask for help and a dietician called me back very timely and stayed in contact with me until they could help me figure out how to try and combat the meds. I would give Dr. Batay-Csorba a perfect rating!! He is AWSOME!!!!!

My only problem during this whole experience was with one nurse in the hospital who started my IV the morning of the surgery. She was rude and told me if I was crying just getting the IV in that it was going to be the least of my pain. I really had a problem with her. But one of my aftercare nurses, Beth, she saw the blown IV site and asked questions and I told her what the nurse had said and she went and addressed it with her boss because she felt it was inappropriate.

He was very professional.

My impression of him did not change.

His office staff was very friendly and couterous.

I have nothing bad to say about Dr B

He was very concerned about aftercare. You must follow what he says to the letter or your success rate will not be as high.

He has a very structured aftercare program.

He was very up front about the risks of surgery. He did not beat around the bush. He said it like it was.

I thought Dr. Batay-Csorba was very professional. He knew what he was talking about and did not talk over my head. He communicated in a way that could be easily understood. He answered all of my questions fully and wanted to make sure he answered them to my satisfaction. He gave me a full overview of the surgery and what he would do and the changes needed afterwards. He talked about the complications that could arise and stressed the need for after care and it's importance.Having both surgical competence and bedside manner would be wonderful, if I had to choose just one, it would definately be surgical competence. He performs surgery at Bariatric Treatment Center in Yipsilanti, Mi.

I am very pleased with my operation, my surgeon, the whole entire staff and the stay at the hospital. In the beginning I was sore and achy and I went through a deep depression. At first I thought it had to do with the surgery but I discovered it was psychological.

Dr. B-C was very nice to me. He began with a pretty routine overview of the surgery and then took as much time as I needed to answer questions. He was very straight forward and honest. I really appreciate him making me think about this and if it is the right decision for me. For example, I have two very young children - he let me know that I won't even be able to lift them for several weeks. Since our talk I've lost count on how many times a day I pick my girls up to help them into their highchairs, into bed, etc etc etc. It made me realize that I won't be able to be super mom for quite a while and that I'll have to plan to get help for my children while I'm recovering.
Overall, I thought he was competant doctor. Oh and I checked his medical license and its currently in good standing in Michigan! Always good to check.

He's very buisness like, but I could tell he knew what he was talking about. He was much more personal at the follow up visits. I felt very secure with him doing the surgery.

I met with Dr. Batay-Csorba for my first consultation a couple of months ago. He seemed extremely competent and put me at ease with his calming demeanor. I find him to be efficient, knowledgeable, and interested in the medical and personal reasons behind obtaining surgery. I had some difficulties with BTC's business offices, but would not even imagine leaving Dr. Batay. I have that much faith in his ability. I just found out that I was approved for surgery today...YEAH!!! I look forward to dealing with Dr. Batay in the future, and know that his professional manner will be welcome when it's "go-to" time.

Dr. Batay is a very professional man who was courteous and informative at the first consultation. He answers all questions thoroughly. He's not all that personable at the beginning consultation, but then think of how many times per week he has to give the same spiel. He really shines once you've decided to go ahead with the surgery. The day I went in for surgery, he was much friendlier and encouraging, and he made me more at ease. Post-op visits have been even better. He genuinely seems pleased when you show up leaner than the last time!

His office staff couldn't be better. They were all wonderful to me and treated me like a human being with real feelings. Wow, what a concept!

He stresses following post-op directions to the fullest, and with good reason. Post-op care is excellent at his office. Support groups are available, and you will go for several aftercare appointments at which time you will not only see him, but also the nutritionist to make sure you're eating enough protein. You will also probably get phone calls from the nutritionist periodically between appointments just to make sure you don't have any questions. There is also a 24-hour phone service you can call if you have any questions.

If you're looking for a surgeon in Michigan, definitely consider Dr. Batay. I couldn't recommend him more highly!
