Dr.Batay seemed reserved but quite knowledgable.This is the only surgery he does routinely.

So far these people have helped me with every question and then some. We have even called the hospital just to check with them and it was just so nice to talk to concerned people. They really put a good program together. This doctor was so professional,concerned and he does know his work. I will try and get him to laugh before all is over. Thats just me.
I just can not imagine any other place to have this RNY done. Their whole staff is here just for this surgery why would anybody go to somewhere they don't have the support.
Now I can see where some of the people have some of smallest things turn into big problems. I have seen real different questions asked on this site that should have been answered before surgery. That tells me that there are alot of doctors out there THAT SHOULD NOT BE DOING IT. IF YOU DON'T GET A REFURAL FROM A FRIEND OR DOCTOR THAT KNOWS YOU WELL I WOULD NOT BE IN A HURRY TILL EVERYTHING IS IN ORDER. DON'T FORGET THIS IS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE AND YOU HAVE TO CHANGE WITH IT. HOW SEROUS ARE YOU ABOUT THIS. JUST THINK.
Aftercare is great with this Doctor they are just a phone call away 24/7.

Everyone at the Barriatric Surgery Center was kind and helpful.
I took a friend with me and we actually had a fun and informative time!

My first impression of Dr. Batay was that he was very knowledgable about the surgery and its complications, risks, and benefits. After all, he does this surgery for a living - every single day!! Over time, I discovered that he is a very caring, compassionate man also. He cares about his patients, and really wants them to do well. The office staff at Bariatric Treatment Center in Ann Arbor is wonderful!! They will always answer any questions you have, and they have a nutritionist on staff to help you with your dietary needs!! I really cannot think of anything that I disliked about the doctor, his staff, or the practice in general. Future patients should know that Dr. Batay is one of the best!! As far as aftercare, it is very important to BTC. They follow you closely during the first year to be sure that you aren't nutritionally deficient, and you have blood work every three months. Then, after the first year, they see you yearly to make sure you are still healthy and doing well. As far as the risks of surgery go, they were explained to me very clearly. But I was also informed that these risks are usually rare, and that most people do very well after the surgery. I would rate Dr. Batay (on a scale of 1-10) as definitely a 10!! I would recommend Bariatric Treatment Center to anyone who wants a permanent solution to obesity!! Both Dr. Batay's surgical competence and bedside manner are wonderful!! Everyone who works at the office and at the hospital are very caring people!!!

Doctor was great, the Hospital staff in Addison, MI was outstanding!! I cannot say enough about them!

I have now met with Dr B. I was originally scheduled with Dr Poplawski through BTC, but found myself uncomfortable with him so I switched. I really liked Dr B. He was friendly, answered all my questions and was very thorough. I was very impressed with him.

The Bariatric Treatment Center, for the most part everyone was nice. There was one girl that was doing the paper work, that could have been nicer.
Dr Batay-Csorba was very informative, he asked if I had any questions and was willing to answer anything that I asked. I am looking forward to the surgery.

Dr. Batay-Csorba seems to be very thorough and knowledgable about RnY surgery. He was patient each time I talked to him and answered all my questions. After my surgery I didn't see him for more than a couple minutes each day, but it didn't really matter because the hospital staff were great. My pain was well managed after surgery, and my incision is healing up very well. Dr B-C seems a little cold at first, but gets more friendly after you have seen him a few times.

I thought he was very knowledgeable but very direct and to the point. He didn't rush me and took the time to answer my questions. On the day of my surgery he came and talked to me again about everything and said not to worry. I never felt afraid, he was so confident. There was one girl in the office that wasn't very friendly, but everyone else was real nice. Dr.B C came to see me after surgery to say everything had gone well. I'd had many health problems so was concerned about complications,but other than problems with my veins and the IV everything went great. Dr.B C really stresses good aftercare. At my 6wk, 3,6,&9 month check up he took time to go over everything I was doing and eating and feeling. He told me he was very happy with my results each time because I was ahead of schedule on my weight loss. I would go to him again because I trust him and am thrilled with what he did for me. He definately is surgically competent even if he doesn't come across as overly friendly at first.

From what I saw, I found Dr. Batay-Csorba to be a very professional
and competant doctor...unfortunately, I was not able to see him much,
That really didn't bother me, as long as he knows his stuff!!...And I feel
he does! :) That's all that counts in my book. (I guess surgical competance
is more important to me than a bedside manner!) When I did get to see him, he
always gave me the opportunity to ask him anything about the surgery. The Bariatric
Treatment Center is very thorough, as far as the pre-op testing goes, and the staff
at the BTC/Addison Hospital in Addison Mi. are fantastic for after care..I couldn't
have asked for better care! Overall, I rate the surgeon, Hospital and the staff a
"9" out of "10"!!
