My first impression of Dr. Batay-Csorba was that he is genuinely concerned for his patients. One of the first things he said to me was that my life will forever be changed. He has a great record and almost 2500 weight loss surgeries under his belt. So far so good.

My fist impression of Dr Batay was his great concern that I undrstand that this was a change for, in his exact words, "the rest of your life". He re impressed this upon me every time we spoke and even before I was stuck with the first needle on surgery day......
The Barix Center is of no comparison to anything around.....I have not gone to any other clinic regarding WLS but I can garuntee that you will not either when you go there.......

Dr. Batay-Csorba was in Ypsilanti, MI when I had my surgery. I didn't know he moved until updating my profile. He was great. Explained and answered all my questions and calmed my husband completely. Dr. B was great overall and I would recommend him.

He was pleasant, but not personable. I've seen him all of two times. Once at the consultation and the other time after my surgery. Both meetings were quick and seemed like formalities. Also, he left Michigan and is now in Phoenix.

Dr. Batay was a very soft spoken gentle man that takes great pride and puts forth much effort with his work. He is very thourough. My surgery went off with no complications other than a scare of pnumonia I am asthmatic and I was lazzzzzy with the breathing treatments. My scar is a work of art. I have seen others and was amazed and the intricate sutures. The scar healed well. At only 6 weeks out it is not very noticable. I would HIGHLY RECOMMENND Dr. Batay to all.

The staff at BTC was warm and loving they knew when it was time to push me for my own good, they were very accesible and at no time did I feel as if I was an imposition on them!

The BTC way of doing things is so focused on this solution that they follow you for the rest of your life, with follow up doctor visits and in-house support groups.

I had my surgery on Feb 11th, 2003.
Dr B.C. was very thorough, caring, and explained everything in detail. He has been very helpful with any questions i have had. He did a wonderful job and I have had no complications at all! If I know anyone who wanted to have this surgery this is who I would send them to. Competent, professional, caring, and understanding.

My first impression was that my surgeon was a straight-shooter. That impression has not changed. The office staff was nothing short of fabulous. I met him 2 days b4 my surgery. He strongly emphazed aftercare. He has a structured aftercare program. He addressed the risks of surgery in an honest and forthright manner. In my opinion surgical competence is most important. That is what will change your life. Not how friendly someone is, but how qualified they are. Batay-Csorba is very business-like and treated me more like a number than a person, but he did fabulous work.

I must add, I only saw my surgeon a few times. 2 days b4 surgery, day of surgery and 2 of the 4 days I was in the hospital. My follow-up care is being done by a colleague also part of the BTC team, Dr. Kaczmarski, whom I don't particurally care for. In fact I think he's an ass with no professionalism and no bedside manner. He told me that he didn't want to do my follow up care. I complained to his boss, and his attitude changed dramatically since then. But there is nowhere for me to evaluate him, since technically he is not my surgeon, but rather the surgeon assigned to my aftercare.

Dr. Batay was absolutely wonderful. He informed me of every step along the way. He seemed to genuinely care about me and the progress I was making. He was very encouraging.

On a scale from 1 to 10 I would rate him a 20!

Both his surgical competence and bedside manner were great!

My first impression about doctor Batay-Csorba was that he was willing to answer any questions that I had. He was very thorough. Since I had some concerns, it was in important that my questions were answered with his frankness. I was really impressed with his office staff. My patient councilor was positive and willing to share her experience with having surgery and Dr. Batay-Csorba was her surgeon. That impressed me because she had been successful with a lot of weightloss.

Once you are through the surgery, according to Dr. Batay-Csorba, following the aftercare program is of most importance. He did address the risk. I put my life in his hands so I rate him a 10(1-10). He seemed serious but caring and informed.
