Dr. Batay-Csorba was very knowldegable and kind...he was however rather short and to the point...very upfront, which is not really a bad thing going into this...he did not sugarcoat anything...I feel very comfortable with him as my surgeon. The nursing and office staff have been exceptionally kind and friendly. Everyone says hi to you and asks how you are doing, even housekeeping...I will come back and update after I have the surgery...

my first impression of the doctor was that is is very professional and caring. he took the time to answer every question that i had. he did not hold anything back, told me about potential leaking and even the mortality rate. i never once felt that he was a robot but this was only my consultation, i do look forward to him doing my surgery, i feel as if i am in good hands!!

Dr. Batay- Csorba is a very nice man. My first impress was that he was a very quiet man but very knowledgable about what he was doing. I felt very confident in his abilities. The whole staff at the clinic and BTC hospital were wonderful. They were extremly nice and caring before and after my surgery. My overall hospital experience was as good as can be expected after having major surgery, it wasn't like it made me want to stay any longer that's for sure. When looking for a surgeon to perform this surgery competence was much more important to me than personality. I'd rather have a doctor that's really good and alittle bland in the personality department as opposed to a funloving person that's not so good.

Dear Batay was wonderful!! He has a sweet, calming
and gentle manner about him. The hospital
staff was also wonderful. The went beyond the
call of duty with all the patients and
nothing was too small or too large of a
job for them to do. The office staff is
outstanding. So many of the office staff has
had the surgery done and can relate to whatever
you might be going through and is always willing to listen
to you no matter how trival you might think
your problem is.

The after care was good. I was given a phone number to the
hospital where you could call day or night for
answers to any odd feelings or discomfort you
might have...even if you just needed some
reassurance.

Dr. Betay was truthful and honest with me on all
accounts. He informed me on all the risks and
answered any questions I might have.

I was one of the people that got really nervous
just before surgery (the week before I had the surgery).
I was scheduled for surgery one week before my actual date
of surgery that I had it done. I got up and walked out
just before I was to be rolled into the surgery room.
But I was assured that I could come back the next week
and have the surgery done if I wanted to and it was
ok to be nervous.

The staff of nurses, doctors, and helpers were more
then I expected. They were wonderful and kind
at all times.

Please, if you can, have the surgery done! The difference life
can be after the surgery and learning to live
again is worth it!!!

Good luck to YOU!!!!

my first impression was that he is a pretty serious person, but very competent.
That didn't really change. He doesn't have much to say, but will answer all the questions you have. He was very thorough in explaining the benefits and risks of surgery.
The office staff was friendly and helpful.
I believe Dr. Batay-Csorba is an excellent choice for a surgeon. Aftercare is heavily emphasized by everyone at BTC every time you encounter them. It's a crucial part of successful weight loss. BTC has support groups available at numerous convenient locations and times.

I think that Dr.Batay is really the way you would want a surgeon to be, very well prepared, straight and to the point. He seemed very kind and I feel very confident in him.I would rate him very highly, just because he put up with me and my sister having the giggles. (we loved the really big chairs)

I didn't see Dr. Batay that much. He would come in the morning ask if anything was wrong and leave. I would more interaction with the doctor.

My first impression was most favorable, and he provided all the answers to questions I asked, very frankly, which gave me more confidence in him, to proceed with the next steps.

My first impression was that he was pretty stilted in his delivery but he was thorough! I now appreciate his being candid with me at the initial consultation. His manner in the hospital was wonderful. More so, at my 6-week check-up he raised my spirits when I felt I hadn't lost enough weight to date...26# since 8-1-00 (re-birthday!).

The hospital staff were truly warm and seemed sincere. They didn't act like they were doing me a favor although there was at least 1 nurse I never want to see again.

Dr. BC is very soft spoken and his presentation of the surgery seemed a little rehersed to my, but he was very knowledgable and took the time to answer all my questions. Everyone I've spoken with assures me he is an excellent surgeon and that is ultimately the most important factor for me when choosing a doctor. I feel completed comfortable proceeding with him as my surgeon.
