Dr Lane is a very nice doctor. Although abrupt at times, he is very knowledgeable in his field and has the experience to back it up. I felt very comfortable and "SAFE" knowing I would be in his hands.
Dr.Lane's Staff were also great. They have all "been there" which I feel makes them a better staff over all.
Dr Lane is very adament about aftercare as he lets you know this during pre-screening, and, as far as Dr Lane is concerned, I've heard nothing but good things about him.
I have yet to receive my surgery but based on my 1st impression I would recommend him to my friends.
Well I am not very good with words...But Dr. Lane is SO wonderful. I felt like he really cared about me...and still does. I run into him often at BTC when I go in to weigh myself. (NO scale at home...I would be weighing myself every day) He always askes me how I am doing. Dr. Lane is never in a hurry and will take his time to explain anything to help you with your WLS experience. THANK YOU DR. BRIAN LANE
I have only met him for my initial visit, but my wife and I were both very impressed with him. He was very informative & put a lot of my wife's concerns to rest. I didn't really have a lot of concerns as she did but he helped us both. I really am looking forward to my surgery. I have heard nothing but praise from anyone about MR. Lane. I have been in contact with the insurance person Jeff at the BTC and he has been nothing less then helpful, he gave me his personal fax number so I could get things moving faster. As I am trying to get my surgery while my wife who teaches is off on spring break. I have been very pleased about my experience on a whole. I recently went to a support meeting and there was a woman there who had DR. Lane and also had nothing but praise for him and the staff at the BTC.
My first impression of MD B.Lane was he seemed to be a very up tight person , but he looked very professional. After he started to inform me of the procedure he seem to be a very informative .He describe the office staff as knowledgeable and bedside manner trained people. Any other pt. up and coming should know that he very ,very knowledgable of his specialty and very concerned for his pt saftey.
My first impression of Dr. Lane was that he was very knowledgable. he took his time answering our questions and made sure that we understood everything including the complications that could arise. The office staff seemed very nice. We really didn't get a chance to really talk to the staff as they were extremely busy this day. Dr. Lane encouraged us to research and become knowledgable of WLS. He didn't have a support program but told us about the one in warren. He did say that this is very important. To make sure you have a good support system. So far I would rate Dr. Lane at a 10
I had my counseltation in november 2002 with Dr Lane at the BTC. He was right on time, I did not have to wait in the office. Very professional, direct eye contact, informative, knowledgeable, and interested in helping ME. i brought a list of questions I had though of asking, but during my hour session, he answered everything. The staff was nice, and the facility itself was "fat friendly" - meaning big wide butt chairs...what a relief...where else can we large people go and fit in the chairs...I feel confident about the procedure itself, and with the skills of Dr. Lane. He explained after care, and the importance of following the diet afterwards along with exercising. I would recommend him to anyone.
