Well educated and informative.
Staff was great.
No bed side manner.
He is a awesome surgeon.
I was not able to go back to the doc. due to car issues and the only time the office followed up was to refund my deposit.
The doc made sure that I fully understod all consequences.
7-8
to me a mixture would be really great
He is very direct about what it can and can't do for you as well as the risk and what part you will have to play in it. I have surgery tomorrow and have full confidence in him. His staff is the greatest, I am usually disappointed in office staffs but they go above board to try and be helpful and Patrince keeps you very well informed every step of the way. He is super busy and will see two or three on first consult to allow for more people to be helped but this does not mean he does not address you individual needs he does. He is too busy to spend a lot of time with bedside manner as some would call it but his skill and competence more than makes up for his lack of time in bedside manner. For my part honesty is the best bedside manner there is and he is honest about what to expect.
When I first met him, He has explained very well what he will do, and what to expect out of the surgery producures. Dr Overcash have told me that I am his second patient who is deaf, which surprised me. He seems to be a little arrogrant, but I guess its because being a doctor for years, and doing the same producures over again and over again... The office envirnoment looks so neat, and very relaxing in the waiting room. The nurse, Patrica is so WONDERFUL!!! She will answer with her best effort, and always makes me feel comfortable. And when I called to ask for Patrice, but she stepped out, so I left a msg, she always call back especially by using relay service!! That really impressed me so much. On my surgery day, 7/13/04, I was so scared like a lost puppy! He came to talk with me, and I was questioning him so much.. He stopped me there, and said he was happy to know that I was eager to know more, and that was a good signal that I wanted the surgery even though I was nervousss!! He also said he expected me to walk for 1 mile the day after I leave the hospital, then within a week, he expects me to walk 1 mile within 15 minutes!! We looked at each other, and of course, I thought he was CRAZY! Then next minute, we laughed! That put me at ease, somewhere.. The next day of my surgery, he came to check on me to make sure I was ok, but I was sooo drowsy from the medicines, and of course, the PAIN! I plan to see him on July 29th for my staples removal, so I will update more later on.
i was first going to the wish center to have the surgery but the kept loosing all my info getting me mixed up with other people and i never had a good feeling with any of the staff there i actually felt as if they were trying to get useing me to get insurance money they kept stalling on everything and after going there for 3 months and they keps stalling i decided to change to dr. overcash and spoke with patrice she was great she i called on dec 13 th to make an appt she gave me one for the 19 i was so supprised all i had to do was call my ins co and change the name of the surgeon and hospital i went to my appt on the 19 and met with dr.overcash i felt very comfortable with him he was very informative and had a good sense of humor i was glad i had chosen him the day of the appt they scheduled my surgery date for dec 31st{what a way to start a new year}i was so excited i am now one week post opand have had no side effects and no pain I believe dr. overcash is a great surgeon.i would reccomend him to any everyone
Dr. Overcash is very straight and to the point. He answered every question with no sugar added in his answers. His staff is very knowledgable and very nice. They always either answered my calls right away or got back to me quickly with what I needed to know. I am only 1 week post op at this time so I can't comment on his aftercare. To be honest, as long as I am healthy and I'm losing weight that's all of the aftercare I am concerned about.
Dr. Overcash does not sugar coat the good and the negative aspects of this procedure. He is a professional that he personally answer all your questions and allways make sure that you know exactly all you need to know to take the right decision. Dr. Overcash count excellent group of professionals that work as a team. Yes, a team of excellent players that know what they are doing. Patrice and the rest of the team players are very concern about you and they will worked with you so you get your approval as soon as possible. When she called me last Thursday go gave me the good news she was so exited over the phone that assures me that I am in a good hands.
It is going to be a very long journey I will have my ups and downs but I will proceen focun on my success. I feel comfortable with my decision and I just can not wait to face my future.
