Dr. B-C was very professional. The staff at the Ann Arbor Bariatric Treatment Center were very supportive and considerate.
I complied with all post op visits and blood work that the Dr. requested; I recommend that everyone who has the surgery do this.
Dr. B-C was very informative of the risks and the procedure. You should go with questions and ask them. I would rate my surgeon a 7 on a scale of 1-10.

Dr B-C is very mild mannered, very business-oriented. He really doesn't open up much. But he's a very good surgeon, and I have had a rapid recovery from surgery.

BTC of MI is a mixed bag. I wasn't very impressed with the staff once I was "in process" - it was hard to find out who had my file, what I had to do next, and they, in general, took a while to call you back. But the inpatient folks were FABULOUS. The surgical team, the post-op care and the RT and Nutritionists were all caring and knowledgable.

My first opinion of Dr. Batay-Csorba was that he was rather quiet, but extremely knowledgable in this field. His office staff is very professional and very friendly. I would have liked for him to offer more information rather than wait for me to ask all the questions, but he did take the time to answer everything I asked. He strongly insists that you follow the aftercare to the letter as far as the diet goes and as far as follow up visits. They give you a three ring binder with step by step instructions on what you should be eating for the first 6 weeks as well as what you need to do after that period is up. He thoroughly explained all the possible risks of the surgery and made sure I understood every one of them. I feel he was wonderful. His surgical competence was outstanding and his bedside manor was just fine.

Dr. Batay was a very polite, soft spoken man, who did an extremely wonderful job of explaining the surgery to me. All of the staff at the Bariatric Treatment Center in Ann Arbor, MI were friendly and helpful. I would give all involved and A+ :)

Dr Batay-Csorba was very informative. He answered all the questions that my mother and I had. He wasn't pushy about whether or not I should have the surgery, he simply stated that I was a good canidate for the RNY.

As I waited for my surgery date, I was kept informed by his staff of my status. He made sure that I felt okay the day of surgery.

The office staff was terrific. They were very helpful and supportive during a very hard decision.

I believe that Dr Batay-Csorba will tell you straight out about complications you might experience, and the fact that this surgery is not for everyone. He recommended that I have a psych. evaulation before my surgery. This actually was for my insurance company, but for myself also. It allowed me to see the real reason I was having this procedure.

Aftercare is very important to him, he stresses that during your recovery process your insides are still healing and that is why it is important to follow the aftercare program.

I fell that the aftercare program, even though not eating real food for 6 weeks is hard, the aftercare program is very detailed and easy to follow. You know exactly what you can eat and when, and what you can't have.

There are risks in any surgery, however, I really believe that the people who are performing your surgical procedure are used to dealing with overweight people and therefore they are the best at what they do.

I fell that Dr. Batay-Csorba is my knight in shining armor, he gave me back my life. Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Richard Simmons have never been able to do what Dr. Batay-Csorba has done for me.

Both his competence and bedside manner were great, He was always willing to reasure you and made sure that you were comfortable. I had a problem with my catather, he made sure that he explained what had happened and why they chose to leave my cathater in until I was discharged.

My surgeron Dr. Batay-Csorba was very informative, answered all questions that we had asked, and even let us record the whole consultation. So we wouldn't forget anything. He understood all of our concerns and didn't rush us through at all. He stressed how i would have to take care of myself afterwards. And if i wouldn't take care of myself afterwards and eat the right foods, then there was know point of doing the surgery, because i would make myself a very sick person. I loved my surgeron and am very comfortable with him doing my surgery.

Dr Batay seems very caring, however, I think he has done so many of the same procedures that he is programmed. He did take as much time as I wanted in my consult with him to answer my questions which you don't find much of these days. I have been to the Ann Arbor office 3 times. My first consult with Dr BC, then my psych eval, and then a 2nd consult due to the insurance taking over 6 months to make up there minds, and each time I was not impressed with the nursing staff. All the nurses, dietician, respitory staff and clerical at Addison are great.

I THOUGHT DR BATAY-CSORBA WAS VERY FREINDLY. HE WAS ALSO VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE SURGERY. HE EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME ALSO WAS VERY PATIENTS WHEN I ASK MY QUESTIONS, I HAD THEM WROTE DOWN BEFORE I GOT THERE, AND I COULD HARDLY READ MY OWN HANDWRITING BECAUSE I WAS WRITING QUESTION AS I WAS SEARCHING THE INTERNET. HE ANSWERS ALL OF THEM AND HE ALSO SEEM PLEASED THAT I HAD SOME QUESTION. HE WAS NOT COLD AT ALL HE LAUGH WHEN I LAUGH BECAUSE I LAUGH A LOT.HIS STAFF WAS ALSO FRIENDLY. I DID NOT FIND ANYTHING ABOUT HIM THAT I DID NOT LIKE. I WAS GOING TO GO TO TWO MORE DOCTORS AND THEN PICK THE BEST ONE, BUT NOW I AM GOING TO STICK WITH HIM.HE HAS A GOOD AFTERCARE PROGRAM THAT HE STRONGLY RECOMEND.HE EXPLAIN ALL THE RISKS AND WHAT THEY DO TO TRY TO PERVENT THEM.OVERALL I WOULD RATE HIM A 9 OUT OF 10. I THINK BEDSIDE MANNER AND SURGICAL COMPETENCE GO HAND AND HAND BOTH ARE GREAT.
