My impression of Dr. Jones is a good one so far. He is an friend of a friend of the family and comes highly recommended. I have had 4 friends who have had gastric bypass done by Dr. Jones and I am confident in his surgical ability. His aftercare program is a great one, the upfront cost covers 2 years of aftercare. I rate him overall as excellent.
I met with Dr Jones Monday. I was very impressed. My husband had to work so my mother went with me. She had questions she wanted answered before she felt comfortable with this. His nurse was great. There were 7 including me that were there for the first time. He came out and explained the type of surgery he did, the risks, and the benefits. He answered questions from all of us. I thought this was good because there were questions I didn't think about but someone else asked. Then he met with each of us one on one. He answered all my questions and all my mom's. I am now sooooo ready to do this. While he was seeing each of us, the nurse passed around huge books of before and after pictures. They were so encouraging. I am waiting on a letter from my PCP and then all my paperwork will be sent to the insursance companies.
Please say a prayer for me so that maybe I'll be approved without a hassle.
Overall, I rate he and his staff a "10". I would feel very comfortable with him doing the procedure for me.
He is a great Dr. He answered all of my questions so that i understood exactly what i was going to be doing.. He let it be my choice to decide what i want...Will let you know more after my surgery...3/1/00...YEAH!!!
Dr. Jones is a wonderful surgeon. His office staff and nurses have been incredible and super kind to me!!!
I would like to make a comment on Dr. Jones staff. I won't meet him until March 1, 2001. When I called for a date the lady answered and told me she was on another line and could I leave my phone #? I gave it to her thinking, uh-huh , here we go again, they might call late this afternoon. But to my surprise, she called back in 10 minutes. Answered all my questions and was very informative and friendly. That has made me think a lot of his office staff without going yet.
Dr. Jones is great. My 1st was impression was that I really liked him.
His staff is Wonderful. I have worked closely with his nurse Sue and she is an ANGEL.
Dr. Jones was very informative & honest, he tells you the pro's and con's.
my first impression of doctor jones was"is this guy for real". Ilove doctor Jones he has changed my life. He office staff is very friendly and helpful. they are really on top of the insurance stuff, and helped me in anyway i needed help. Theres really nothing i can say i don't like about dr .jones. Furture patients should know that is is very helpful and informative and will help you in anyway. Dr. jones takes follow-up visit aand after surgery very seroiusly. He laid out all the risks of surgery and would explain them if needed.I would rate dr. jones aalmost perfert. Or perfect in my eyes anyway.
My first impression of Dr. Jones was that he is very open and likeable. He is easy to talk to and very informative about the surgery. The office staff are extremely supportive and nice. They are all so friendly from the time you walk in on the first visit. I liked everything I saw and heard from the staff and Dr. Jones. Dr. Jones is excellent with his patients and their after care. He continues to see his patients often after surgery to several months after surgery. Aftercare is essential to overall health after surgery. I trust him with my life or I would not have picked him for my surgeon. He throughly talks about the risks of surgery and allows time for discussion and questions. Surgical competence and bedside manner are both excellent. This physician has done over 2000 surgeries and only lost one patient since 1986 and the loss was not due to the surgery, as told to me by Dr. Jones. I have chose my surgeon carefully.

HE IS INTELLIGENT, UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORTIVE. HIS STAFF ARE ALSO VERY SUPPORTIVE AND HELPFUL. HE DOES HAVE AN AFTERCARE PROGRAM. HE EXPLAINED THE SURGERY AND EXPECTATIONS/OUTCOMES AND RISKS/BENEFITS IN DETAIL PRIOR TO SURGERY.
