Dr. Jones was highly recommended by several close friends who have had WLS. I interviewed (and investigated) several other surgeons in my area and when I met with Dr.Jones for the first time I knew he was "the one". When I made the appt with Dr.Jones I was told that he did not perform laparoscopic gastric bypass. That was a drawback for me (as far as recovery time)until I met with him and he explained why he uses an "open technique". After reviewing the studies/reports regarding laparoscopic verses the open technique, I feel at ease knowing that this is the safest choice for me. I have only had positive experiences with his office staff. I felt so comfortable with Sue (office nurse) and Tricia (Nurse Practitioner). Both treated me as an individual and not "just another patient". Each time I called the office to see if they received approval from my insurance, Kim (receptionist/secretary)was always patient and courteous.

Dr.Jones is very much a people person. He does care about his patients and their family. He takes time to talk and explain what ever concerns you might have. His office personnel are great they also have an attitude that makes you feel comfortable and at ease about yourself.

Dr.Jones is highly recommended. I have several friends that have used Dr.Jones and they all are very pleased. I was amazed at the results.

DR JONES WAS VERY LAYED BACK AND CARING. VERY PERSONABLE. I STILL THINK HE IS WONDERFUL. HE HAS BEEN DOING THIS PROCEDURE FOR OVER 25 YRS AND HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. I HAVE NO COMPLICATIONS. CAN EAT ANYTHING I WANT TO (JUST NOT VERY MUCH OF IT). HIS OFFICE STAFF IS VERY CARING AND COUTEOUS. THEY ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP.THERE IS NOTHING THAT I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT DR JONES. FUTURE PTS SHOULD KNOW THAT HE IS THE BEST. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AND WOULD HAVE THE SURGERY 100 TIMES OVER AGAIN. HE HAS A SPECIAL INCISION THAT HE MAKES THAT GREATLY CUTS DOWN ON PAIN. I HAD HARDLY ANY PAIN, MAKING THIS A BREEZE BECAUSE I AM A BIG WEINER ABOUT PAIN. HIS AFTER CARE PROGRAM IS GOOD FOR ME. I SEE HIM EVERY 3 MONTHS. THINGS HAVE BEEN GOING GREAT SO HAVEN'T EVEN HAD TO CALL THEM. THEY MAKE YOU PREPARED WITH ALL THE INFO YOU WILL NEED POST OP. BUT I AM SURE THEY DON'T MIND YOU CALLING WITH QUESTIONS, I JUST HAVEN'T HAD ANY. THE STAFF EXPLAINED ALL THE RISKS OF THE SURGERY AND I WENT THROUGH ALL THE PRE OP TESTING. MY RISK WAS LOW BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE ALOT OF CO-MORBIDITIES. I WOULD RATE HIM AND HIS STAFF A 25 ON A SCALE OF 1-10. HIS SURGICAL COMPETENCE AND BEDSIDE MANNER WERE BOTH EXCELLENT.

Liked him. Helpful. Explained surgery very well with props...showed differences between typres of WLS surgerys and why he only does the one kind now. Very nice staff, they do not look down on you for beeing obese. He is an older man, and very experienced with the surgery.

His office is a full function office. My insurance was very strict on what was required, and his office was able to fulfill the requirements.

Only met him the first time for initial contact. Will be having my full physical on 10/1/04. He was the same doctor that performed my co-workers surgery.

Dr.Jones and his staff are very pleasant and helpfull. Dr. Jones was very detailed in his discription of the surgery and what to expect.

I have only met Dr. Jones once, at the initial consultation. However, I have several friends who have used Dr. Jones and all love him. He was very nice the time I did meet him. I felt very comfortable. He was very knowledgable.

Great reputation. He's highly thought of, very personable. Office staff very friendly and helpful. He has a very structured aftercare program, as I've watched many of my friends have this surgery through his office. He explained in depth the risks of the surgery, so I have no questions whatsover about the procedure or what's in store for me afterwards.

I've only met Dr. Jones once, but I've known about him for many years, and he is well thought of.

First impression was great. He is a very caring Doctor.

Liked least that he is so busy wait time was several months for consult and then for surgery date.

He emphasizes aftercare extensively. Very specific rules to follow. No structured aftercare program except for several followup visits.

I would highly rate him overall.
