Tall man. Intelligent. Caring. Great sense of humor. Drives a really nice car. Very supportive. Asks a lot of questions and has a lot of answers.

Dr. Jean-Baptiste is absolutely professional, a very skilled surgeon, and a real straight-shooter. He doesn't pull punches, but never fails to be polite and concerned while laying it on the line.

My first impression of Dr. JB was that he really cares about his patients. I have never seen a Dr. that actually held the support group meetings for his patients. I was completely impressed. He is outgoing and thorough. His concern is the patient not the paycheck! His office staff is top of the line. They are efficient and polite. They are there to answer any questions you have. Dr. JB, if he was rated on a scale of 1 - 10 .. he would be a 15. He is so informative on all the information you need know concerning before care, risks that can occur during surgery, and aftercare. He has the surgical competence that you want in a surgeon and the bedside manner you wish all doctors had! If you are looking for a Bariatric surgeon... GO SEE HIM.. he is worth it!!!!

Dr. JeanBaptiste seems to care tremendously about his patients. He took time to explain to me how one surgery type would be betther tham the other based on my conditon.i was reassured by his honesty and competence in the time we met. I believe i did the right thing in choosing this doctor.i really need this procedure and he is most understanding.

When I first met Dr.JB i thought he lokked young and unexperienced.I did feel though that he was trying to give me the best medical advice that i could receive.My whole out look on the bariatric center changed when i was there for a appointment and Dr.JB walked in from outside and said good morning tiffany..Thats when i knew he was really focused on getting me health.The office staff has been a big help and so nice Kathy has made me feel so special and tells me always thats she'll be here for me ever step of the way!Judy the nutritionist has been great with the pre and post dieting..Christi has been great with makeing pre admissions appt.What can i say but i feel encourged in my mission of losing weight and haveing a better healthier life!!Thanks to the Muhlenberg Bariatric Team.

I am very happy to have gone to Dr. JB's office today, it was exactly as I had read in other parts of this site, his staff was very nice, informative and patient, even when I got there late (dratted traffic and got lost a bit), Dr. JB explained to me in a very clear and concise manner about the two surgeries, I had originally thought to have had the LapBand but after listening to a lot of the information presented by Dr.JB (stuff not found elsewhere) I decided to get the gastric bypass. I am so excited and can't wait!

When I first layed eyes on Dr. Jean-Baptiste, my first thought was wow, this guy looks very young. I was initially nervous just because of the reason I went to see him, then to see how young he was... My nervousness about his age and or ability was put to rest a bit. I was so nervous, I forgot the questions I had written down to ask him. He did however answer most of them while speaking with me and asking certain questions of me.rnrnHis office staff were pleasant, their kindness seemed very genuine. I have only met with the doctor one time, so I can't really say that there is something that I don't like about him yet.rnrnHe spoke to me about the surgery, the types of surgery, the risks, the importance of my dedication and lifestyile changes. I was given a schedule of the support group and directed to this website.rnrnOver all, I guess so far so goodrnrnThree months after my initial visit... I concur with anyone that I have ever spoken to about this doctor and his office staff...AWESOME!!! rnrn I have gone to several support group meetings and I have to say that I have been impressed each time. The agenda is different with each meeting, which keeps things very interesting.

My inital Consult was with Dr. JB, however when I went in today May 2, 2006 for my 30 day follow-up to my surprise I found out Dr. JB was no longer w/ the group. However Dr. Fares, the Chair will be performing my surgery as I am told he is very good. Keeping my fingers crossed. However when I met w/ Dr. JB I felt very uncomfortable w/ having Gastric Bypass, so I decided to go w/ the Gastric LapBand surgery. UPDATE: I have since left the practice in Hamilton and have been Seeing Dr. JB in his new Planifield Office. The experience has been GREAT! I am scheduled for Lap Band Surgery on Thursday, Nov. 9! The process went really smooth and his new staff is GREAT. I am a little nervous but excited. I know this will be a journey with ups and downs but I am truly excited to be on the losing side for ONCE in my life! Dr. JB is very patient and attentive. You can tell he's a doctor that cares, that makes all the difference. He was very detailed w/ me and did not try to pressure me on which procedure I should go through with he was honest and told me to draw my own conclusion. I believe he is a well rounded dr. with great manners and very well informed.
