THIS DOCTOR SEEM VERY CARING WHEN I WENT TO VISIT HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME. ALL THE PATIENTS THAT WAS COMING IN AND OUT OF HIS OFFICE HAD NOTHING BUT GREAT THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS MAN. AFTER SPEAKING TO HIM AND HIS STAFF I FELT LIKE THIS WAS THE DOCTOR FOR ME. I STARTED THIS PROCESS WITH ANOTHER DOCTOR BUT HIS OFFICE WAS NOTHING LIKE THIS ONE AND THEY COULDN'T GET THE INSURANCE TO APPROVE MY SURGERY. rnI HAVE BEEN SEEING THIS DOCTOR FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS NOW AND I REALLY THINK HE IS THE BEST. AFTER 2 YEARS OF GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH MY INSURANCE AS SOON AS HE START MY PROCESS HE WAS ABLE TO GET MY SURGERY APPROVE. rnI HAD MY SURGERY OCTOBER 15,2008. MY DOCTOR AND HIS STAFF EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME STEP BY STEP. I CAN CALL THEM WHENEVER I WANT WITH ANY CONCERNS. HE IS A GREAT DOCTOR AND HE HAS A GREAT STAFF.
Dr. JB is a great guy! I went into the office for the first time on 9/27/05! I was really nervous. Thinking that they would push me away. Maybe say I was just on the border! BMI not enough to get the surgery. I was scared and didn't know if the doctor would look down on my b/c I was obese! My first impression was NOT like any of those bad thoughts at all! Dr. Jean Baptiste talked to me like a was his friend. I was very comfortable. I had many questions. He took all the time I needed to answer them until I felt comfortable enough with the answer. rnrnThe other staff were all very warm! Very friendly. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Even my first phone call to schedule the apt. I spoke to Bonnie and she helped me get onto the website and everything. rnrnThen there is John! He's the food guy! He's sooo funny! We get along good! I always come in there with all of my crazy questions and vitamins. He always has an answer for me! No matter how off the wall I am! I think and talk to much! rnrnI was open to both procedures, the lap band and Lap RNY, but leaning more towards the band. DR. JB explained both procedures to me! Showed me the pros and cons of both! He never pushed me one way or another! Just gave me the facts and said we'll work with what we have and I'll get the best out come possible!! I was very excited! I couldn't wait to start my pre opt testing!!rnrnIt was stressed to me the whole time before hand that this is a tool and by no means is this a solution! It's a solution to being obese as long as learn how to use my new tool and keep up with it! I was told that I can easily gain weight back if i don't do my part! Which is making the right food choices, exercising 3-5 times a week for at least 30 minutes a day! It was also stressed that afterwards my body would need stuff that it always has, but will need to get it differently! So I was told from the very begining about the different vitamin suppliments that i would need to take for the rest of my life. rnrnThese guys don't sugar coat it for you, I feel they are honest with you and let you know what to expect. They also won't let you get over on them! If you're not on track they will let you know! rnrnI would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! They have a really good program and I believe that if I follow the rules and do my part, my surgery will be a HUGH success! Thank you to my doctors who are looking out for me! rnrnMary Kate C.
I started out with Dr. Earl Noyan and was scheduled to have RYN September 24, 2005. However, Dr. Noyan called and cancelled my surgery the DAY BEFORE I was scheduled (3pm) and told me he was leaving his practice and could not perform my surgery. Purely personal reasons, he said, not anything to do with my health but rather his problem with his practice and the hospital -- political reasons.rnDr. Washington, the head of the practice, met with me and offered to do a lap band, but Aetna would not cover lap band, only RNY. After switching insurance companies the following January 1st and meeting further requirements, I had lap band surgery performed on April 24, 2006 by Dr. Washington, covered by Oxford HMO
Dr. Jean-Baptiste made me feel so comfortable. He is a very caring doctor. He is very knowledgable. He is a great listener. I don't feel rushed when I go for my checkups. He answers all of my questions. Dr. Jean-Baptiste is very professional. rnrnThe wls program is incredible. rnrnThe staff is awesome. The aftercare is great. rnrnI can't say one bad thing. The experience was amazing. rnrn
I was very impressed w/Dr. Jean Baptiste and his staff. The impression has only increased. Very knowledgable, careing. His head nurse is post op. There is nothing to dislike about Dr. He is a wise, caring, humble man. I wish that everyone could go to Dr. The after care is unremarkable. They don't just operate and leave you. You have 24 hour access to his nurse, Kathryn, easy access to his nutritionist, Judy and the office manager Christine is just delightful. His assistant Dr. visited with me in postop. I believe his is the gastro Dr., however, my primary, Dr. Jeffery Levine of Family Medicine in New Brunswick, NJ had already sent me for all of the testing by the time I came to know Dr. Jean Baptiste. Again, I can say only good things about Dr. and his staff. I was explained about everything, the support gruoups, the risks, and the aftercare. I way given pre op conditioning in which I began to lose weight prior to the surgery date. I went expecting greatness, and I came out with greatness.
