At first I as some reservations useing Dr. Fallang. I know several individuals in the medical profession and I live in the Middletown area and heard some negative remarks about Dr. Fallang's bedside manner. I can assure you that after meeting Dr. Fallang that he is the nicest, professional that I have dealt with. I would recommend him and his office to anyone who is considering this type of surgery. I will stress the negative remarks I heard was on the bedside manner only, even those who had negative things to say, could not say anthing agains is professional ability. That's why I chose him. He's a great surgeon.

Dr. David Fallang, is a wonderful person and professional. My first impression of him as a Doctor, at my consultaion meeting was as expected. He was very honest and very informative of any risks ar options that there may be during or after surgery. There were no closed doors, or questions left unanswered. I felt very comfortable with him as my surgeon, because he felt very sure of himself and his practice. He was a very open minded person, and was willing to set aside time to answer any questions or concerns I may have had concerning my present and future health. He emphasized greatly on the personal care I would recieve before and after, if I so choosed to have the RNY By-Pass surgery. He addressed the risks of surgery, very openly and so precise, that it made some back out of their decision to have the surgery. But, he wanted people to know the facts as they were and not cover anything up, misleading about what can happen. But, overall, Dr. Fallang, was more of a friend, and wanted to be apart of my sucess, and not just the surgeon. I truly believe, that if you can find a doctor that takes your health in on a personal basis and professionally tries to improve it, then they are the one to choose for your RNY surgery.

Dr Fallang has a consultation group meeting twice a month. He is very informative and accessible during this time. I have called his office staff on several occasions- they are very helpful and will willingly andreadily answer questiond. I am told however that I really won;t see the doctor again until after surgery. I have read alot on this site about doctors who seem far more involved along the way. I am scheduled for surgery on Dec 12, 2000. I will have to update when I know more.

I had my WLS on Sept. 28th,00 with Dr. David Fallang. All went well and he is a great doctor. I do wish they had a little more structure in their after care program. But all in all he was a very nice man and good doctor. I was in Middleton Hospital in Ohio. Everyone at the hospital was very nice.

Dr.Fallang & his staff were absolutely wonderful to me. The day before my surgery there were some complications with my insurance, because of my husband switching jobs, and the Cobra company screwing things up. Dr. Fallang's wife,Lynn, was awesome. She came back into the office and stayed until about 8:30 getting everything straightened out so I could have my surgery the next day. I can't say enough good things about her.
I was very impressed with Dr.Fallang's office in every way. The staff was helpful both pre-op, and post-op.

I met Dr. Fallang and his staff at his seminar in Middletown, OH on October 5. It was long (over 4 hours) but very informative. I'm glad that it is a requirement because he addresses everything in great detail. He seems to be a wonderful surgeon (very personable) and his staff are very warm and friendly.

My information session was September 7. My surgery is scheduled for October 24. My session lasted over 3 hours and it was all valuable information. I havent really had a chance to talk to Dr Fallang one-on-one, but in the session he was very thorough. His staff has been wonderful and knowledgable. I would rate Dr Fallang and his staff a strong 8, so far.

DR. Fallang would not even consider my surgury until I attended a 4 hr seminar on the surgury . Then and only then would he talk to me about setting the surgury date.
His seminar was very thorough as he explained with a slide show of the various surgurys available and why he had chosen to do the divided Roux-en-Y gastric bypass.Dr. Fallang answered everyones questions and mine as well. everything else was answered by his very capabe staff.Because his staff helped me get my insurance to approve it faster I am now just a few hours away from skinney day.

I have not met Dr. Fallang yet because I live so far away. The impression I have of him through his web site are good, and I have been asking around about him and so far have not heard anything negative. I have many dealings with his wife, Lynn, and I cannot say enough about her. She runs the office. She has been great. I have treid many places all the way from California to New York, and none have been so helpful and caring. In my opinion, they are very open and honest about all of the factors regaurding the surgery and any questions I have. Mostly I like that they pay attention to me. I have gone to other seminars in the past, but because I live so far away, I will be attending his the day before surgery. I have not really discussed the aftercare with the doctor or his office, but from what I understand, they will be giving me all the info. I need at the seminar [I hope]. I will have a 2 day hopital stay and this concerns me a little because I live far away. I do not know how they have been with other people but,in my opinion overall, I think they are the best I've dealt with in the last 2 years and that has been my personal experiance with them. Their web address is www.surgicalweightloss.net. I will update post-op. POST-OP- Well, Dr. Fallang has great bedside manner, and is very surgical competent. I give him a 9 overall because I think he could have a better aftercare program. He is still a very caring individual. My experiance has been a positive one.

I met with Dr. Fallang following his seminar on the open RNY and I was quite impressed with him in several ways. He keeps abreast of the new techniques and has 750 surgeries under his belt, along with an excellent track record re few complications. He is pretty straightforward regarding the risks of surgery and 'pulls no punches', but the degree of risks are also relative to varying factors. He is very attentive, patient, understanding and easy to relate to. Further, his staff is great! I look forward to dealing with them as we progress.
