My first impression of Dr. Lane when I had my initial consultation in June 2002 was that he was very professional. I immediately felt at ease with him and appreciated the fact that he was unhurried and willing to answer any questions I had no matter how routine they may have been for him. I then met the personal consultant and thought that she was an added bonus because this was an actual person who had been through what I was planning to undertake--the surgery! Speaking with her, seeing her success, and talking to Dr. Lane had me wanting to have surgery the next day! What future patients should know about Dr. Lane is although he is quite the professional, he does genuinely care about his patients. He encourages potential patients to be as informative as possible--he referred me to a few websites--as well as stressing the aftercare program. He was completely upfront regarding surgical risks and I appreciated his honesty. I would rate Dr. Lane a 10 on a scale of 1-10. At my 2-week follow up visit I thanked him for being a highly skilled surgeon. Surgical competence is better in my opinion because I don't need to be coddled, the bottom line is getting me taken care of physically and God will take care of everything else. Thank you BTC!
Dr LANE, seems very competent and knowledgable. He doesn't surgar coat anything. He is honest about the risks of being overweight and the risks of having surgery. He doesn't try to influence u in any way u definetly make your own decsion. I liked him very much. I have insurance approval now I am waiting for Dr. approval! :) I am scared but hopeful for my future!
I had my consultation at bariatric treatment center today with Dr Brian Lane. The center seemed good---most people were nice and informative. The Doctor took his time and explained everything to me---he was very patient and explained the surgery to me fully. They were running late the left me in a room for over an hour without telling me what was going on----so I went and asked and then waited another 1/2 hour before someone came in. But everyone was very sorry for the delay---and they waived the fee. He thinks that after care is very important--and he went though how that works. Dr Lane told me all about the risks and everything envolved in this surgery. I was impressed with his surgical competence and bedside manner---and I'm planning to go forward with this surgery.
My first impression of Dr. Lane was good, since the time he walked thru the door I knew he was nice. His office staff was very nice to me, first I met with the nurse and then with the patient counselor (Melanie) who I thank very much for her help. After I met with the nurse and the counselor I met with Dr. Lane who explained the procedures and the risks of the surgery and he provided me with this website. He also asked me if I could attend one of the support groups before surgery, he said that would help alot.
My first impression with Dr. Lane was that he seemed very educated....plus very handsome. He was open to any and all questions I had and answered them accordingly.
I was supposed to have my surgery on June 6th, and due to my white blood cell counts being elevated I could not have the surgery. He was very empathetic about it, considering I was in the pre-op room all set to go into surgery withing minutes...seriosly!
He seems like he is very competant,....very professional.
I had my surgery on June 20th. I am so glad I had Dr. Lane, he was very thorough, and came to my room to check in on me a few times. There was something about him, when I saw him in recovery that I knew everything would be alright. Well, I'm 3-weeks post op now, and I feel wonderful!
My first impression of Dr. Lane was very good. He was willing to take the time to answer in detail any questions I had. The office staff at BTC were also very helpful. A major issue for me at the initial consultation was that I had to wait three hours to actually talk to the doctor. Dr. Lane apologized for the wait when I finally got to meet with him and he didn't rush our appointment. The long wait wasn't repeated at any of the following appointments. Dr. Lane has been an excellent surgeon. I've had no complications and his willingness to take the time to explain everything demonstrate both his surgical ability and his bedside manner. My experience with Dr. Lane has been very good.
