Dr. Gandsas is excellent. He explained the risks and benefits of the surgery. I was educated during the 6 months of pre-op approval.

Office staff is OUTSTANDING! Eileen was my Godsend. Nancy taught me the facts of nutrition. Karen keeps you motivated. Dr. Christina Li is new to the practice, but my dealings have been pleasant.

The program at Sinai requires you to attend support group meetings. Both pre-op and post-op. You must meet with Nancy on a regular basis. By attending the meetings you are presented with risks and benefits of surgery and obesity in general.

I rate Dr. Gandsas AAAA++++++. He has a fantastic website with video and details of the operation.

Dr Gandsas he is a great person. And an even better doctor. He really does care about you, he takes great steps in keeping you informed on everything about your health. The office staff are just terrific Karen and Eileen are the very best,and they will bend over backwards to accomadate you. Dr Gandsas goes over a lot of information about the surgery and tries to prepare you. My impression has only gotten better since I first met all the folks at Sinai. The after care is great and I really do get a lot out of the seminars that they give for the post op. I especially like that I don't go to the office and wait for hours, everyone is prompt and that is terrific. Dr Gandsas has a terrific bed side manner. He really does care about all his patients.

I met Dr. Gandsas just a few months after he came to Baltimore. I attended a support group meeting in October of 2003 an knew from that day on I would have Gastric Bypass Surgery and he would be my Dr. He is a man that will not mix words and lets face it we need someone like that to make life decisions for us while we are in his care. Dr. Gandsas has been very kind to me and is very excited with my progress. I have called him at home at 2 a.m. and know that if I needed to call him at anytime he would make himself availible for me. It's not just a job for him as he is skilled enough to do so much more. I believe he truely loves his work and is the most committed Surgeon I have ever met.
The Staff:
I fought for a year with the insurance company and in that year Eileen was right by my side. Nancy help me to begin my pre-surgery diet and though I may have failed her she never failed me. She and everyone in Dr. Gandsas's office have always been very supportive. Karen took care of me like my mom would have and to that I say Thank You. Because I needed her. More than once she has called me after hours and checked in on me.
I am so happy that I was at that support group meeting and that this wonderful Doctor came here. I waited a year for surgery and never once was I alone in my wait. Thank You Dr. Gandsas and Staff

When first meeting Dr. Gandas I thought he was very compassionate, and concerned. Dr. Gandas has continued to remain that way through my whole ordeal. From the first time I meet him he was very serious about helping me and everyone who wanted to overcome their problems with obesity. Before and after my surgery Dr. Gandas ran a very structed and helpful program for me to follow. He and his team always answered to every concern I had. They explained to me all of the risk involved and reassured me every thing would be okay. They all were very effecient and effective through my whole process, and if I had to go through this procedure again I would only want Dr. Gandas to help me through my process again, I am so very grateful to him he is a wonderful surgeon and a great man.

Very personable, knowledgeable. Impression did not change over time. Office was clean and neat. He is very caring and attentive. Aftercare is very important. Aftercare was very structured and routine tests were performed. Everything was explained in great detail about the surgery. I would recommend him to anyone who is concidering this surgery.

I was very impressed with the program at Sinai. The office staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They took care of all the insurance headaches for me, and were on top of all the paperwork. They helped organize all the pre-op testing, took time to answer all my questions and followed up on all the details. They were also very warm and reassuring. Dr. Gandsas took time to talk with me and explain the surgery, and answer all my questions. He was very open about the possible risks, and shared the specific stats for complications from this program. He seemed very cautious and careful, and seems like he actually cares about patients. He has a sense of humor, which makes him seem more human and approachable than a lot of docs. I really felt like I could trust these folks to take good care of me, and they did. I thought Dr. Gandsas did a great job, and his bedside manner was excellent. He came to see me in the hospital every day that I was there, even though it was a holiday weekend. The nursing care in the hospital was great, also.

I was very impressed. my impression only got better. I was very impressed again. eileen, karen, paula and nancy are wonderful people. they are all helpful. nothing he is wonderful. he is A WONDERFUL doctor wonderful bedside manner. he reminds me of antonio bandares the actor. he is excellent. hw is only concerened about your care. he only wants the best for you. he stresses safety and health. he stresses pre-op and post-op classes. it's very important that you keep all appointments. he is very detailed in his explanation of the surgeryand after care. as far as the risks of the surgery he is very detailed in explaining the risk factors. he does not sugar coat anything. then he askes you do you have any questions. he is very personal. I love dr gandsas. he is wonderful on a scale of 1-10 I would rate him a 10++++++++++++++++++++

All I can say is EXCELLENT! I first met Dr. Gandsas at a support group meeting. He was very informative and humorous. At my first consultation, Dr. Gandsas was very pleasant and explained the procedure to me in detail. I had my surgery on October 5, 2004, I was very nervous in the preop area. Dr. Gandsas was very reassuring and calming. I was in the hospital for 3 days and every day Dr. Gandsas came to check on me, make sure I was comfortable, and if I needed anything. Dr. Gandsas is a godsend. Now for his office staff; they are phenominal. I just love Eileen. She was the person I spoke to when I initially called the office to get information. Eileen was so pleasant and informative. Eileen is the reason I chose Dr. Gandsas' office because the other Dr.'s office I called didn't even have a live person to answer the phone, you had to leave a message and they would get back to you in several days. Nancy, Karen, and Paula are just great also. They are always friendly with a smile on their faces. I just went for my 3 month follow-up appointment yesterday and they all complimented on how good I looked. The entire office is just great. I have had no complications and I credit that to Dr. Gandsas' competence. He is just great! In my opinion, I would recommend Dr. Gandsas to everyone!

My first impression was that he was very upfront and precise about the surgery what was involved and the importance in following his guidelines to make the procedure a success.Over time my feelings about Dr. Gandsas intensified, meaning as I worked with him on the pre-op program I came to realize more and more that he was concerned about me not just having another patient. He takes each patient personally. His office staff is off the hook!!!!! They are absolutely the best in the business. They helped set up all my tests and appointments,answered any and all questions as they came up and everyone was and continues to helpful and supportive. Future patients should know that Dr. Gandsas and his entire staff have only your success and well being in mind and alot of pre-op testing is required to ensure that you are fit for the surgery. It made me feel secure in knowing that everything possible was checked out ahead of time. The aftercare program is very precise and well planned out to maximize your success. Dr Gandsas requires attendance of 3 support group meetings prior to surgery. At these meetings his entire staff is available he answers all questions and has an actual movie of the procedure at no time is there any possibility of going into this surgery unaware of the possible outcome.Sucess and risks. My personal opion of Dr.Gandsas is he is an extremely experienced and knowldgable professional. His compentence and beside manner are both far beyond superior and I would highly reccommend him to anyone considering this surgery.
