first impression was outstanding and did not change over time. The office staff is second to none.I have no complaints. Everything including risks were explained to me. I have not had surgery yet because my insurance has denied me twice. This is my personal opinion. I have not had WLS yet.
My first impression of Dr. Raphael Capella is that he is compassionate about people and their concerns.
My impression has not changed of him at this time.
Dr. Capella's office staff is very personable and helpful. They help make you feel at ease.
There was nothing I did not like about Dr. Capella.
One thing future patients should know about Dr. Capella is that he is a thorough person, and understands our battle for weight loss. He is also one of the best doctors for this procedure with statistics. We could not have acquired a better physician for the work and knowing we will be in good hands.
Dr. Capella emphasizes greatly and numerous times about your aftercare. Including that they are there for us every step of the way to call day or night.
Dr. Capella does have a structured aftercare program that he wants you to follow and explains why.
Dr. Capella was very instructive about the percentages for risks and laid it on the line with everyone. Being up front and honest is the best policy. However, he does put out his ratios for how many surgeries hes done that he has very minimal risks. One of the best in the country.
If I had to rate Dr. Capella on a scale from 1 to 10. He gets a 10. I felt very comfortable leaving his office knowing about the procedure. And to be honest, excited even more to have it.
In my opinion it is best to have both surgical competence and beside manner. I believe besides having a great physician, his manner towards you helps you mend from the inside out. No person going through so much needs a doctor to treat them incorrectly. It's better to feel all your questions are answered and at ease, before he leaves your presence. This is one of the things I like about Dr. Capella. He makes sure you are okay with everything and questions answered before he leaves you.
"Wow" This doctor is good, and even better that his son works with him to. When I went to the meeting to get information about the opeation, I'll tell you I was scare to even listen to what he was going to say but I wrong. I had a list of question I wanted to ask, but others had the same question. Dr. Capella answer so calm and made it easy for us to understand what is the operation is all about and the different percedure they have and which one is bestand beside he has alot of experience doing the kind of operation during the year and more some. Which I am very happy to have him as my doctor to do the operation. I feel relax when talking to him ususally my words can't come out right, I'm to nevers to say anything, but not with him I tell him everything that's bothing me and why i really want this operation be done to me. And that my friend is a very good feeling. I trust him.
As for his Staff they are very wonderful with me especially Toby- she is great!!! I have a ball talking to her half of the time we are laughing when I tell her something or even ask her something. She is a wonderful to talk to.If you ask me Dr. Capella and his staff are vey wonderful in my book.
My firs impression was a very good one.He was very informative....The office staff was wonderful.....Especially Toby...she was sooo helpful...She took care of everything.Thats all i can say for now but, i will update after the surgery.
Dr. Capella was very informative at his open meeting, I had gone to another surgeons meeting and was so turned off at their process, it was like being in a cattle drive. But with dr. Capella's it wasn't crowed and he answered questions that everyone asked. His office staff are great, when i first met with toby, I explained to her that I really needed a date in the summer, because I teach, so I wouldn't have to miss work, And she totally surprised me and got me a earlier date.(love her).I also met with melanie the nutritonist*she was very helpful.I am so excited and kinda stressed Monday July 19th is the day.
Very good seminar. Smart way if getting questions answered to a group of people then one on one at first questions you may not ask are asked from someone else...
He is very business like. He is not very personal and for me I like doctors to have good bedside manner. From what I have heard he is the best. He is a very busy doctor. His office staff is exceptionally nice. They were all so nice about answering numerous questions. Melanie was great too and knows what she is doing.
