John Monk Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

From the moment that I met Dr. Monk I like him. He listened to me, he answered my questions before surgery, and during and after my procedure his bed-side manner was great. I didn't have to worry about anything. Since my surgery he has been very supportive, and I really really like him. Thank you Dr. Monk for everything. Sue his nurse is also terrific.

Dr. Monk did a great job! I particularly think his office staff is wonderful. They are truly advocates for the patients. They were always willing to answer my questions when I called or stopped in. I was always left with the impression that they truly understood my angst and frustration with all the pre-op testing and consultations one has to submit to. I can't thank them all enough :)

My first impression of Dr. Monk was that he was a kind and concideratet man. He really cared about our health. His office staff people were very friendly also always having the time to answer all my questions, exspecialy Sue. There was really nothing i didn't like about Dr. Monk after all he saved my life i owe him alot. He really cares on how you take care of yourself after the surgery i know after my surgery i ate something i shouldn't of and i dumped and i told him and he said good thats what you get for cheating well i haven't done that again. He adressed the risks of surgery to the full extend not holding anything back i am just so glad i chose him as my surgeon he did a wonderful job. THANKS DR. MONK Over all i would rate him a 10 plus.

A great doctor and surgeon

my first impression of dr. monk was that he was true to his job. he held nothing back and answered all of my questions honestly and reminded me everytime i saw him about the side effects. it is important to him that his patients understand what the risks are. be honest with him because he only wants whats best for you. his asst. sue is great she is always willing to answer my questions and i have alot of them being post-op and all. the staff in his office is just awesome they are all kind . dr. monk stresses that you follow your aftercare instructions, so i recommend you follow them completely.

I felt confident in Dr. Monk's hands from the beginning. The staff in his office are all great, especially Sue who is who I have dealt with the most, man, that is one busy lady, I hope he pays her well!

Dr. Monk is a skilled surgeon but still warm and friendly.

I give him and his office an EXCELLENT rating and reccomend him highly.

His program is structured and they give you plenty of info and guidance.

I have heard alot about Dr. Monk and when I met him they were all true. He is such a wonderful caring person. I like Dr. Monk because he took the time to talk and answer all questions I had for him. He explained all the risks that the surgery had. I had to call Dr. Monk a couple of times during the hours when business was closed and he always was there to help me. The staff at Dr. Monks office is the best!! Sue is such a big help to me. I think Dr. Monk is a great surgeon and a very respectful person. And for all that he has done for me...I love him for that!!

my first impression of dr. monk was he is a normal guy and very nice. very informative also.i think very higly of him and he is the one to do my surgery. he covers everyy thing and makes sure you will be fine. dr. monks office staff are very nice and they are very helpful also. i think that just knowing that he is good at what he does and that he makes you feel safe.
he will answer all your question, and give you all the time you need with him. yes he has the group meetings and we will see him the rest of our lives.yes he does address all the risks and doesn`t sugar coat any thing. i would rate him a 10 . i would say surgical competance is first and be side manner is second , but dr. monk has both i`m pleased he is doing my surgery.

My first impression was "He really seems to know what he is doing" He offered lap but he was very honest with me and told me he had not done as many lap as open, so I believe I will be going w/ what he is the most familar with. Dr.Monk seems like the kind of doctor that wants you to get to the point, he is very busy and not one for small talk.

Dr. Monk seems to very caring.

Dr. Monk explained things very well.

Aftercare is very important.

There are risks to any surgery, and if I stay the way I am, my chances are even worse.

I am looking forward to having this done as soon as possible and becoming a healthier person.

I want to start living again!!!
