Dr. Waldrep is super and so is his staff. I have had the best experiences with them so far.

Dr. Waldrep seems quite young, but I have heard through his former and current patients that he is very competent, and has a good reputation.

He requires potential patients to attend a 3 hour WLS seminar, which was both entertaining (he has a great sense of humor) and informative.

I was feeling pretty anxious about my surgery, but after my pre-op appointment with Dr. Waldrep I felt reassured and more confident. He took his time and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed or like I was asking questions he had already heard a million times.

The staff is quite helpful, but very busy.
Be prepared for a long wait in the waiting room.

Dr. is very nice I did not have to many questions but the ones I did he had the answer. My impression of the Dr. is still great. His staff is super and they are really helpful. His availabilty is a little slim but he is a very busy surgeon. He was very persistant in pointing out the bads of the surgery and still addressed me to havemore quesions for him. I havent had my sugery but my frined did have hers form the same surgeon and I was there with her he was great.

Good guy-excellent surgeon with excellent staff.

This practice has the procedure wired and organized to the nth degree, IF the patient takes the time to read the website and follow the instructions.

Aftercare is comprehensive and very supportive.

I'd rate Waldrep very high, along with staff in office AND the Sutter Roseville Hospital staff.

I have had no negative experiences at all personally; however, to each their own opinion, etc.

I was most pleased with Dr. Waldrep. He is thorough and takes your pain seriously. I had severe pain one week post-op and when I arrived at the hospital he had ordered tests and saw me between surgeries.

I see a nutririonist as Dr. Waldrep is a gifted surgeon and not a dietician. She has helped me with the daily choices and the relearning.
He is involved with a larger support group in Roseville: WOWSALSA.com which has meetings and support for pre and post op patients. His pre-op consultations are informative, and are better than the after care program. He runs at least 1 hour late, and I have waited as long as 2 hours for a routine appointment.

His staff are very nice. However, they are so busy it is easy to get lost in the process. Rarely do you get a real human voice when you call, and non-urgent messages are not returned for awhile. Especially helpful are Michelle, Lori and Beth, the R.N.

I still would choose to have surgery with Dr. Waldrep again.

At the new patient orientation Dr. waldrep gave a informative and very amusing presentation. He seems to have built an all inclusive bariatric office. from monthly support meetings, clothing exchanges, a monthly newletter, website and a staff that provides support from nutrition and behavior to a wonderfull medical staff. Dr. waldrep spelled out the risks and the pitfalls he does not want any of his patients falling into.

My first impression of Dr. Waldrep was that he is very professional & extremely caring. Everyone in his office is so helpful & knowledgable as well. I have not yet had surgery but I am hoping things continue to move forward for me!

My first impression of Dr. Waldrep is that he's very approachable. He's highly educated in this field, and that's exactly what I wanted in a doctor. I found him to be easy enough to talk to, and even funny.

The office staff have been helpful, particulary Beth, their RN. The only minor complaint is that when trying to reach anyone on the phone (each has their own 'option' to press), no one is available and one must always leave a voicemail message. This inclues the receptionist. This can be a bit frustrating, but I don't fault the staff. They are busy and perhaps just need more staff to give better customer service.

Aftercare and surgery risks were carefully explained. What Dr. Waldrep calls the 'scary package' are all the possible side affects, possibilities, mortality stats, etc., which every patient must read and initial. Great pain is taken to explain all the risks -- both verbally and in writing. The aftercare program consists of a 3-page package explaining the type of foods to progress to week to week. Beth (the RN) also makes herself available 4 days a week to answer any questions. I felt very comfortable about this.

I would rate Dr. Waldrep as an excellent choice for anyone's laproscopic surgery. He is highly skilled and has great expertise in his field. Afterall, we place our lives in his hands, so we have to rely on his education and track record, don't we? I highly recommend him.

I met Dr. Waldrep at the surgery consult and I know I'm in the best of hands.
