First let me say that my surgeon has the greatest staff. It takes a team to make this a wonderful experiece. My husband and I attended the informational meeting and we were both inpressed with all the information given. The staff were organized and answered all ofour questions. My pre-op care was great. My one on one with Dr. Waldrep was great. He helped me make decisions. The entire program in set up for my success.

So far my experience with Dr. Waldrep and his staff has been mostly positive. Dr. Waldrep seems to be a very grounded person with realistic expections...none of the \"if you lose XXX we can do the surgery\" type of thing. He seems to honestly understand the problem of obesity and treats his patients with humor as well as sensitivity. The only negative was that the wait to see him was very long (I was in the office for 1.5 hours before I saw him), however once he got into see me I understood as he very patiently answered all of my questions and never made me feel like he had other patients to see and other things to do. So I'm sure that's why he was so far behind schedule...it's hard to stay on a schedule when you're not dashing out the door to the next patient as so many other surgeons do. His staff seems to be very professional as well as helpful, Sheila his patient care coordinator has been especially helpful in making sure I had completed all my tasks, as well as helping to track down the tests etc that she didn't get into the office. Post-Op update: Sailed through surgery, both Dr. Waldrep and his PA Mike came and saw me before surgery and Mike checked in often while I was in recovery. I would highly recommend his office! I will add an update after I get a fill and let you all know how that goes!rn

My first impression of Dr. Waldrep is that he is very much a kind and caring person. Doesn't seem judgmental at all. His staff is great. Terri and Brandi are willing to help you wherever they can. I think the only thing that new patients should know is that this if you have Healthnet this might be a very quick process. Be prepared to kind of feel \"shoved\" through.

We met him last week at a group seminar. He and Dr. Kerr are SO much more educated and confident than the other surgeon I met with. I don't think the other surgeon is bad, it's just that Dr. Waldrep really seems to know his stuff. I am so happy Sutter Roseville is now a COE for Medicare. The office staff at SALSA seems really nice and helpful so far. rnrn11/19/07 updaternrnI had my one on one with Dr. Waldrep. He is so nice and he took all the time I needed to answer al of my questions. I had several pages of questions written down! His office staff is awesome as well. I can't wait to have my surgery and be on the way to better health!rnrn1/14/08rnrnSurgery date is 1/22. The office staff has been great. Brandy has completely taken away any fears of the process and has made it really easy.rnrn2/1/08rnrnSurgery completed and so far successful. I cannot say enough about the attention I received from PA Mike in the hospital. He was there at least twice a day and any other time he was needed. He watched over me and did not let me go home too soon and I really appreciated it because he said if I had to come back in the middle of the night, it would be really hard on me. Dr. Waldrep and Dr. Kerr worked hard during my surgery to cut down my adhesions so that they could complete the surgery via Lap instead of open a I really appreciate that!

Dr. Waldrep and his staff are extemely professional and well-organized for the most part. Dr. Waldrep is very relaxed and easy to talk to. He has a bit of a dry sense of humor, which I love, and is also a bit silly as well. But, always professional. His PA, Mike, is also quite personable and easy to talk to. And again, silly and has an easy sense of humor. I think that a sense of humor is essential when in a doctor/patient relationship, as it takes the formalness out of the situation and makes it easier to feel free to talk openly with those providing care to you. rnThe before and aftercare programs are first rate and ultra important in their practice. Dr. Waldrep's office has a great relationship with Sutter Roseville Hospital and they definately work hand-in-hand to ensure the best possible results for their patients. Dr. Waldrep and his office staff are quite open with regard to discussing risks and requirements of weight loss surgery. rnDr. Waldrep is a fabulous surgeon with an impecable record of successes, and an amazingly low rate of complications. His bedside manner is easy going and comfortable. I don't have a single complaint about the care that he or his staff have provided for me.

My first impression was \" Wow he is young\". Everyone at Salsa is really nice and helpful..I don't think there is anything that I don't like about my surgeon or his staff. I would give his office a 100 out of 10... They are the BEST!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Waldrep and his staff. He really knows his stuff and wants to make sure every patient has the best experience possible. rnrnThe office staff are there for the patients and it shows. They are the ones calling the insurance companies and making sure everything goes smooth.rnrnThey really focus on aftercare and ensuring that your procedure was successful. The staff is all available by email or phone anytime you have a question. rnrnI was pleased to see Dr. Waldrep come to my room after surgery to check on me, and not just leave it to the nursing staff. He and Dr. Mike both came by a few times to check in on me:)rnrnOverall, the S.A.L.S.A group is awesome and I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Please read my blog for my information on Dr. Waldrep. He is fantastic! I could go on forever. The biggest and more important thing for me is that, after meeting him, he COMPLETELY erased any fears I had. I knew that he wanted me to be successful as badly as I wanted it for myself. He honestly gave me such peace about it all. rnrnDr. Waldrep is a very thorough surgeon, and quite a perfectionist (which is a GREAT quality in a surgeon). I found him to be extremely honest and upfront with me. I definitely felt a personal connection with him. That's what so great about him, I think all his patients do, and it's sincere on his part, you can feel it. rnrnDr. Kerr is fairly new to the practice, he was very nice and helpful when I met him in the hospital. rnrnMike, the PA is AWESOME! Quite the hottie, I can't believe I didn't mind him squishing on my stomach! :-) He clearly knows what he is doing and does it well. He was very attentive to my needs in the hospital, which was great. rnrnBottom line: Yes, Dr. Waldrep is a good looking guy, but honestly, his brillance and character make him FAR more attractive than his pretty face. If you have a choice in surgeons, I say GO WITH WALDREP!! Please feel free to send me a message in my profile. I'll help however I can! Good Luck!

Overall I would say I had a GREAt experiance with Dr. Waltrep. Unfortunatly my first experiance was with someone from his front office staff who was not friendly or open with information. It seemed that they had procedures they followed before getting to the point of your consult and was not prepared by someone who had done their research and had most of their requests done already. It seemed their staff was used to dealing with people with little or no knowledge of what in terms was required before having surgery. After the intial consultation any concerns were relieved. He was very personable and extremly knowledgeable. His \"back\" office staff were very warm and friendly throught the whole process. Mike although talks fast, was a great addition and fountain of knowledge!
