Dr. Baptiste is a wonderful doctor he is very dedicated and very supportive. He emphasize a great deal on staying healthy and maintaing your desired weight loss. I made the best choice in life choosing Dr. Baptiste, I highly recommend him.
It's been 4 weeks since my surgery and I fell great I had one adjustment with the lapband and I am already down 13 lbs.
Thwe fist visit was truly honest and informative. I like the educational method that this office offers. The outline of the process to a predtermind gole was most reassuring. As a result I am tharoughly optomistic and encouraged by this initial meeting of all the personel, from the front desk to the nutritionist.
I find Dr. Jean-Baptiste to be very professional.
I have great respect for him . He also did my gallbladder surgery.
Everything was exceptional.
I find nothing to dislike about him.
He treats you like you are the only patient he has and i think
that's an important part of the surgery.
The program is very structured and
everything is given to you in a booklet
I would rate Dr. Jean-Baptiste very highly.
Competence and great bedside manner are important and Dr. Jean-Baptiste is number 1 at both
I found Dr. J.B. to be very concered and extremely personable with his patients, if he says he will call you, he will call you. He is very patient and answered all of my questions. The aftercare is absolutely wonderful. Everything was discussed and any questions I had were answered.
I would recommend Dr. Jean-Baptiste to anyone insterested gastric bypass. Dr J.B. gets a 10 in my book!!!
MY NAME IS BRENDA. I JUST WANT TO SAY I LOVE DR. JEAN-BAPTISTE AND THE REST OF THE STAFF. I CAN CALL AND ASK ANYTHING THAT I NEED TO KNOW. I FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE TALKING WITH THE STAFF. THE SURGERY WAS THE BEST THING I EVER DID, BESIDES HAVING MY SON. IT'S BEEN ABOUT 7 WEEKS SINCE MY SURGERY AND I'VE LOST 74LBS. I FEEL GREAT. I CAN CROSS MY LEGS NOW. I WOULD NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. THE STAFF KEEPS IN CONTACT AND KEEPS ME ON MY TOES. THANKS 4 EVERYTHING. GOD BLESS.
My first impression of Dr. Jean-Bastiste and also John is that they are both caring people. They are here for you and not just the surgery. I went to another surgeon for the same procedure and it was a ten minute visist ending with "now you will need to pay us 2100 to 2300 dollars out of pocket before we will preceed." With Dr. Jean-Bastiste, the first time I was in his office he took two hopurs to explain everything and try to ease my fears. I felt like he truly cared about me and the outcome I will have. He advise the risks of the surgery and again tried to ease my fears. I trust them with the surgery and I know that they will do everything in the powers to have me where I would like to be.
I really like my surgeon because I've had a wonderful outcome. I think my doctor is very skilled because I was well enough to be released from the hospital the day after my surgery and by one week post op I was able to walk for an hour a day outside and I have very little discomfort from the surgery.
I like that my surgeon was very strict with the pre surgery diet because that really let me know that I would need to be real serious about following my food plan post op as well in order to be successfull long term. Working hard to lose weight pre surgery really reinforced my committment to this process.
My doctor took plenty of time with me pre surgery to explain the risks and he gave me a complete list of possible complications that I had to acknowledge prior to surgery.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste is quietly confident and he was very reasuring prior to surgery and his confidence gave me confidence in him. We both went into surgery expecting the best and that is exactly the outcome we got.
He is a very talented surgeon and I fell very lucky to have him as my surgeon. I am totally satisfied with Dr. Jean-Baptiste.
May he rest in peace...
Life is too short and one never understands the pain another human being goes through.
Dr. Jean-Batiste was a thoughtful and kind human being... and should be remembered as such!...
When a vascular surgeon informed me that 3 of the deep venous valves in my two legs were malfunctioning and inoperable, and that quick weight loss is the only thing that will help slow down the permanent deterioration that started in my legs in the form of cellulitis, I called St. Francis Center for Advanced Weight Loss. Dr. Demesvar Jean-Baptiste, MD was thoughtful enough to take my call and promptly arranged for a Consultation with him and the Program Coordinator/Registered Dietician John Bocks few days later.
I met with them on Friday 11/4/2005 and their medical determination for me was to undergo a Laporoscopic Gastric Bypass Surgery. I was given a long list of Pre-op consultations to schedule.
I must admit I was walking on Cloud 9 when I left their office. Dr. Jean-Baptiste and John showed me "competence" with a heart...
I promptly scheduled ALL the Pre-op consultations, tests and bloodwork to be completed in time for surgery.
Inspired by them, I also diligently started my focused research to prepare for pre and post surgery and I started summarizing this information at for my own sake and for the sake of others to spare them the agony of browsing thousands of web pages of incomplete, unreliable and often contradictory information.
