Yes 1 week phone visit by Physician Assistants 2 week office visit, 6 week Office visit, 3 month office visits, 6 month office visit 1 yr office visits and then annually.

Very skilled surgeon I have a well healed 4 in scar below my breast bone. It has looked great the entire time.
Dr. Fallang has geat bedside manner and he is also an excellent surgeon.
I was very Impressed with Dr Fallang. My wife and went to an information session from UC phyicans and it was not very good. Then we wnst to the one that Dr Fallang gave and we were blown away with the information that he shares. He is very informative and he does the whole talk himself and then sticks around to answer any other questions on a one to one bases. His offices staff is very helpful and will take your calls then or call you right back and they all know what they are doing. He has 2 phyicans assistance that help him during surgery and do the pre op talk they go over your chart and then the DR comes in and has the final words with you and gives you a chance to ask questions. jthey talk about after care a lot the like to take it in steps the first 2 weeks the and the next check up then the next stages.He is very open about the risk and explaines them. At this point I would rate him Excellent I have not had my surgery yet I will let you all know after my surgery.
I had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Fallang. He is very professional and caring. I travelled alone from Canada to Ohio to have the surgery. His staff were extremely helpful. Any fears I had about the trip and the surgery were immediately gone when I got there. Prior to my surgery his staff also helped me tremendously in getting approval from our government-run medical insurance. Dr. Fallang is a straight shooter and informs you on all issues you should be aware of. Here in Canada WLS is very rare and hard to get so my family doctor here was not at all sure what he should be looking at post-op. Dr. Fallang sent an arm-load of paper home with me for him. Even now if I have any concerns or questions Dr. Fallang's staff are there for me even though I am in Canada. I am now 11 months post-op and 30 lbs from goal.
I loved my surgeon and everyone in his office. I am currently over a year post op but they are all wonderful about following up with me on blood work, eating habits, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Fallang to anyone interested in gastric bypass surgery. He also has an informational session he does that is extremely hepful in making your decision. He goes through the history of obesity, weight loss surgeries, why he prefers roux en y and a very real perspective on the risks/benefits. He also is there to answer questions afterward. I would rate Dr. Fallang a 10 on a scale from 1-10. He is an overall wonderful surgeon. He is highly competent and has a wonderful bedside manner. Everyone in his office is wonderful as well. His PAs are the best! The only negative thing I would say is that Dr. Fallang is no longer "in network" on certain insurance plans and the out of pocket expense may be greater than some other doctors but I think it is worth the extra investment.
First impressions are lasting impressions... normally that is the case. I was impressed that on our first meeting, he remembered my name! VERY UNUSUAL for a doctor! MOST of my doctors know me only by the numbered code on the chart and the symptoms.. "you got a NAME?, why?"
His staff were friendly and helpful... not too many FAT PEOPLE working in his office, I wonder why.
He was working out of the Middletown Regional Hospital... I would not take my dog to the middletown Regional Hosptial after my brief (5 extremely long days) stay there!
At nearly 700 pounds, I did not care what the risks were, I was at risk just walking!
My lasting impression is that either HE or his office manager/head nurse/chief cook & bottle washer aka his wife, care more about MONEY then the patients well being...
Having been in the service industry, when I bid out a job, I included all the followup service calls in the orignal quote... I had ASSUMED he did the same, until that is, he no longer accepted my HMO's plan... so I have not been back for after surgery follow up visits. I feel ABANDONED and very bitter. Forget any "after surgery care".
Would I recommend Dr Fallang? NO! There are now many doctors doing the same work.
I have my first consult with Dr. Fallang on the 5th and then will be having surgery on the 10th. I have nothing be GOOD THINGS to say about his staff, especially my office contact person Diana - you are wonderful!!

I just attended Dr. Fallang's group consult and also had my surgical consult with his team. The group session was very informative and his staff have been very, very helpful so far. Dr. Fallang informed us of all of the risks involved along with all of the many benefits involved with this surgery. I'm very excited, FIVE DAYS AND COUNTING!!

Well, I'm back home and made it out of the hospital yesterday. I met Dr. Fallang right before surgery but I was too out of it to remember what we talked about. I then met him on my second day and he told me that I could leave the following day (12th) if I felt good so I left at 10:30 on the 12th. So far, I've been very impressed with Dr. Fallang and I'm sure all my dealing in the future will be positive ones as well.
Two friends that have already gone to him had recomended him. He was wonderful. My husband and myself went to his information session and after he sat down and spent about 20 minutes answering our questions. He could not have been nicer. I would encourage anyone to go to the information session. The session was 5 hours long and very complete information and even a vidio of the actual operation. He does have an after care program. He did go over all the pros and cons and the risks involved. He even explained all the other procedures and where the orginaled. He is wonderful so far. I am still in the process of getting approved so we will se how it goes.
