Dr. Lane was very informative, very pleasant, and most helpful. The office staff is very nice as well. I have absolutely no complaints with either the office of the staff. Everyone was great, I loved hearing all of their success stories before my surgery as well.

Dr. Lane was very good about explaining the whole surgery, both the risks and the results you could expect. He was good about not pressureing you into feeling like you needed to have the surgery. That is was truly up to YOU. He just gives you the information you need to help make that decission. And in my opionion it was a very easy decision to make.

I would rate Dr. Lane as "CLASS ACT". He was wonderful, and I would recommend him to ANYONE....I promise you will not be disappointed. He has both wonderful surgical competence, and bedside manner.

Dr. Lane was professional and 100% informative, very kind and understanding. I couldn't have picked a better surgeon. Dr. Lane was there for me before surgery and again after with answers to all of my follow up questions. Dr. Lane's hospital staff were extremely kind and understanding, with several staff having the same surgery at BTC. Aftercare is very important with several follow up visits within the next year. Dr. Lane was extremely nice and very informative. I asked many questions that may not have been typical and he took the time to explain everything to me. The staff was great also!! I don't know if there was anything but my nerves that I didn't like about that day and visit. After care is very important at BTC, they recommend that you go to a support group meeting and let me tell you that that was the best thing I did. Even if you don't go to BTC, go to one of the meetings, they will give you SOOO much information!! They also give you a huge binder of materials on things to eat, exercise, vitamins, etc. Dr. Lane told me all about the different risks, although I did so much reading before getting there, I pretty much knew them before hand. One thing I did not like was that BTC is in a building that is being renovated. So, it doesnl't look like a state of the art facility, but inside was fine - all new stuff. I also felt bad calling them to get the actual surgery date set. They asked for me to get a PFT for my asthma done and faxed to them and they'd schedule me right away. It took almost a week before I had a date. But at least I did get one around the time I wanted.

I am very impressed with Dr. Lane. He is very knowledgeable and oriented to all complications. He really wants to reduce your surgery risks. He spends a lot of time answering your questions. I believe that he genuinely cares for his patients. I go for a preop appt. on May 29.

First impression of Dr Lane - very personable. His office staff - also very nice. Dr Lane was really informative and reassuring - talked in simple to understand terms without talking down to me. And complete when covering the actual proceedure and the complications. It was very reassuring to me that BTC specializes in the RNY proceedure - they will be more aware of complications and my comfort. I feel that surgical competence and bedside manner are both equally important for instilling trust.

The location of the facility was less than perfect - who wants to drive 4 hours after surgery to get home ? And waiting to see the doctor was longer than I would have liked (about an hour) but well worth it.

My first impression of Dr. Lane was great! Very nice person to talk to and very thorough on explaining the surgery! Look forward to meeting w/him very soon! The office staff seemed nice...didn't interact with them too much. The two counselors that my husband and I spoke with, were very nice and informative as well. They answered our questions (and they, too, had the surgery (one person I talked to has done commercials for the treatment center.) Can't wait for this day to come! :O)

I have only met Dr. Brian Lane once so far, but found him to be very patient and careful to explain the Roux-en-Y surgery thoroughly.

I was very happy with the friendliness of the staff and Dr Lane. He did a very good job discribing the surgery too me and answering all the questions I had. I was glad to have a chat with someone who has had the surgery.

Dr. Lane is a very nice and patient doctor. He was very informative about the surgery and what to expect during and after the hospital. He was very patient in explaining everything and made you feel like he really cares about his patients during and after surgery. The office staff was very nice.
Dr Lane emphasizes that aftercare is very important for a successful healing process. Need to follow his instruction and the nutritionist instruction by the book. Dr Lane address the risk of the surgery and would could go wrong. But he made me feel very confident that everything would go as planned. I would recommend Dr. Lane and I will update after my surgery about the care I received and what I thought of Dr Lanes surgery procedure.
