Amir Heydari Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Heydari is the tmost caring surgeon out there. When he walks into the room you immediatly feel at ease. He works with you from start to finish and always gives you 100 % of his attention. I was very nervous about having the RNY and he put my mind at ease. His office staff is friendly and compassionate. The entire program at Centgra woodstock memorial is fabulous. They require many steps before the surgery like meeting with a dietician and a bariatric screening. And they also have a wonderful support group that meets twice a month. I would rate my whole experince a 10 out of 10. Both his surgical competance and bedside manner were phenmonal. the only negative thing about the whole process is that it toook several months to complete. but ofverall i am comletely satisfied.

dr. is the man th gave me a new lease on life he single handedly saved my life i would recommend him to everybody anytime anywhere he is such a hands on dr and i am privaliged to have him be my doctor

Dr. Heydari is wonderful! I cannot say enough great things about him...he really makes you feel like you are his only patient and he actually cares! Not only is he caring but he is absolutely a talented surgeon! If you have to have a surgeon he is the one! Oh, did I mention that he is gorgeous!

OMG! There is not enough space here to tell you all the wonderful, positive things about Dr. Heydari! In spite of ALL the compliments he gets - and he gets MANY - he remains humble. Can you believe that? A SURGEON that is HUMBLE???? Talk about an oxymoron!rnI believe Dr. Heydari is a quality human being. He is ALWAYS thinking of his patients well fare. My first impression of him came before I even met him. My primary physician actually got animated when she recommended Dr. Heydari - I have never seen such respect elicited from one doctor in recommending another!

Dr. Heydari is a very compassionate, caring, superb surgeon. I feel very lucky to have him as my doctor.

What a great Dr. he is so understanding and so polite he has alot of confidence in his program and wants you to succeed more than you can ever imagine. This man has thought out his program so well you never feel left out or ignored he has a great team to work with and for you. The program is very well thought out and accomadates you and your schedule. This team has saved my life I am a new person and feel so much better. Thank you to a great Dr. and his wonderful team.

I first met Dr Heydari at the Bariatric info session in Feb 2007. Of course, the first thought I had was how handsome he is! But once he started speaking about the Bariatric Center at Memorial Medical Center and how he is dedicated to helping obese people, I was enthralled. He is very charismatic and his credentials are impeccable. He is always the professional and expects his staff to be as well. His program is very comprehensive and he makes sure that all his future patients know the risks of surgery. He emphasizes that aftercare is just as important as the surgery itself. Many followup visits are required. He is very caring and visits you before the surgery and afterwards and explains everything in detail. I would recommend Dr Heydari to anyone who is thinking of bariatric surgery.

My original surgery was with Dr Hoeltgen and now I needed to have repairs done to my pouch and intestine and I chose a doctor I felt had a better understanding and compassion for his patients. I have told Dr. Hoeltgen for years of my pain and he did nothing then finally he just didn't want to see me. He even sent me a letter at 2 years postop saying he had released me from treatment but if I needed any other surgical assistance please give his office a call. Yah right! rnWell I heard so much about Dr Heydari and his compassion for the work he does and for his patients. and I have asked him so many questions over the last 3 years and finally experienced the pain so bad and ordered the tests and found the problem. I owe my life and sanity to Dr Heydari.rnEven though I had an infection 11 days post op this man was there for me every moment that I needed him. I can not rave enough about him. He even came to the office at 10:30 pm to take care of me. I truely do love this doctor.

I had heard from many people how wonderful Dr Heydari is. Believe me, it is true. He is so caring and kind and explained everything so well. His bedside manner is #1 also. If you have a chance to have him as a surgeon, go for it! My lap RNY only took 48 minutes! I am 1 week out and doing great. He is just the best.

DR HEYDARI WAS WONDERFUL. TOP NOTCH SURGEON. ALSO HAD HIM DO MY TUMMY TUCK. HIS STAFF (ANGIE) ARE SO NICE.
DR HEYDARI EXPLAINED ALL OF THE RISKS TO ME, INCLUDING THE STATS. ON NOT MAKING IT THROUGH THE SURGERY.
AFTER THE SURGERY HE ALWASY TOLD ME HOW "AWSOME" I LOOKED, AND TOLD ME AT SIX MONTHS THAT EVEN THOUGH I WAS ONLY OUT SIX MONTHS THAT I WAS A SUCCESS.
I WOULD RECOMMEND DR HEYDARI FOR THIS SURGERY, AND OTHER SURGERY AS WELL.
OKAY, THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY NEGATIVE ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE IS THAT SOMETIMES THE WAIT TIME IN HIS OFFICE WAS KIND OF LONG (30 MINS), AND THEIR MAGAZINE ASSORTMENT WASN'T THE BEST!
