Hi everybody,

I'm a patient of Dr. Heydari and I just wanted to comment on what a wonderful experience I've had. Dr. Heydari and his team are really dedicated to their WLS patients and have a way of making us all feel like a mini family. They've also perfected the art of guiding thier patients medically and safely through the pre-op, intra-op and post-op periods. The RN involved with bariatrics at Centegra, Susie, is not only knowledgable, but is one of the most genuine and caring nurses I have ever met. Her dedication to supporting all of us patients medically and emotionally has been a huge factor in my weight loss success. Of course, access to the registered dieticians and excercise support we recieve are hugley valuable as well.

My experience with Dr. Heydari and the rest of the Centegra weight loss staff has exceeded my expectations completley. Finding the program has been an absolute blessing in my life. Many, many thanks to all of those I have met along the way for helping me find myself again.

Having Bariatric surgery is not something that any of us should take lightly. When you go to an information session with Dr. Heydari and his wonderful staff you will know whether this surgery is something that’s right for you.

I had lap-band surgery on December 1, 2009. Right in the middle of the holidays! Dr Heydari is so positive and supportive. He answers everything very clearly, with patience and kindness. Dr Heydari really put me at ease with the life changing decision I made and I couldn’t be happier. I’m inching up to the 40 lb loss mark. At 38 lbs right now and already feeling so much better, both physically and emotionally. my first impression of Dr Heydari was that he was caring and genuinely saw his patients as whole people-not just patients. he was thorough and very comprehensive in explaining not only the surgery, but its implications for our lives. i believe that it is absolutely imperative that you find a dr that you can trust with your life...and dr heydari was that doctor for me. he not only had great bedside presence, but had an outstanding record of success technically.

i would highly recommend both Dr Heydari and the Bariatric program at Centegra to anyone.

Dr. Heydari is the most wonderful doctor, he saved my life. He is the kind of doctor that everyone dreams of. He explains everything in detail, is with you every step of the way before and after surgery and wants you to succeed just as much as you do. He is the type of doctor that will remember you if he saw you on the street. His entire group of doctors and nurses are wonderful.

Dr. Heydari seems very competent and confident. He was very patient with me and made sure that any questions I had were answered. I have no doubts about placing my life in his very capable hands!

His office staff is very friendly. My appointment was prompt and took very little time.

The program that is offered through Dr. Heydari's office is amazing. There is pre-surgery education classes you are required to attend, dieticians on staff at your disposal for the rest of your life, a free health club membership for the first month or so after surgery and support group that really is there for you!

Thus far I would rate Dr. Heydari, his office and his entire program as excellent. I know I am a person to this man and his office, not just another fat person being processed.

It has been wonderful working with everyone involved with this program. I had started with another group, and left to work with this one.
As a nurse I felt more attention needed to be focused on the patient , not the procedure, and everyone focuses on the patient. Susie and Rose at that hospital, and the Doctor and his staff have been great during my 6 month program.
We will be submitting to insurance next week, and I can't wait.
We have a wonderful support group out here. I even walked a 5k with them!

It's been 7 months and I'm feeling great. Everything has went well. I trust this team so much that I let them take care of my mom too. She is doing even better than I am. I'm down 70lbs since surgery and no complications. This has been the best experience I've ever had. Thank you.

My experience has been POSITIVE. I was told by my MD to only see Dr Heydari regarding bariatric surgery. I attended an info meeting May 2006 & knew that evening he would perform my RYN Gastric Bypass surgery. Dr Heydari has a passion for bariatric surgery & for people who suffer from obesity. He is caring, humble & has a wonderful bedside manner. The Centegra staff is outstanding, Susie, Rose & Angie are like family to me. Dr Heydari explained the procedure in full detail, left no stone unturned about the risks. The aftercare is well structured and they continue to monitor me on a yearly basis. The only negative I have to report is why didn't I see him sooner. Dr Heydari is blessed with a God given talent!

I had the lap band surgery on September 29, 2009. I would recommend Dr. Heydari to everyone! He is very kind and caring. His staff is also very caring. When you are his patient, you will be guided in every aspect of your weight loss journey. You will receive information from the doctor, nurses,and dietitians. You are well informed before and after your surgery. They train you, teach you, care for you. No question goes unanswered. They teach you how to eat and take care of yourself. There are many information sessions. There are also twice monthly optional support sessions which are at no cost to you. I am very impressed with the level of information and care that is given. I am feeling great. I love Dr. Heydari and his staff. They have made this journey a safe, well informed one. They are with me every step of the way. I am very happy that I had the lap band surgery. I would recommend it to anyone. I would recommend Dr Heydari to everyone.

His team has a lot of emphasis on preparedness before the surgery, and the follow up that has been outlined seems extensive.rnrnI am excited about the surgery, but I feel I am in good hands.

What was my first impression of Dr. Heydari? I thought he had great rapport. He answered all my questions about the surgery. I had also done some research on him before I had my first appointment. He has a good reputation. He does have a strong aftercare program and there is an active support group.He did discuss the risks of surgery with me several times. I would recommend him to anyone in the far northwest area of Chicago. Which is better...surgical competence, bedside manner, or both? We all want both from our doctors. I think he certainly acts caring and I know from experience that he is very competent.
