I love Dr.Heydari and his staff. He is a very caring and understanding doctor. If I had to do it all over again I would. Dr. has such a great bedside manner and really went into detail about the risks of surgery.

I really love the fact that anytime I needed him I mean anytime at all. I would call and he would return my call within a halfhour...

I can not stress enough how much I love Dr and his staff. They have changed my life for the better. I am 7 months out and down almost 100 pounds..

There is nothing bad I can say about Dr. Heydari.. I have spread the word to four of my friends and they all have set a date.

God bless

lots of love,
Tina :)

Hi my name is Tamatha.I had the RNY gastric bypass on November 30, 2004. I am almost 5 1/2 years out. This is my new birthday, and I celibrate it every year cause without this life saving surgery I would not be here to share my story with all of you.
Dr. Heydari, there are no words to express how greatful I am to him and his deticated staff. He is a very modiest man. And saving lives is his bottom line. From the very minute I walked into the imformational session in July of 2004, I new I was finally in the right place!!!! I felt welcomed and not judged. All my life I have been discriminated against for one reason or another, my weight, my height, my physical limitations and my financial situation. I sat through that session thinking to my self, this all sounds to good to be true, as soon as they find out my financial situation they will show me the door- like several other centers had done before with no regard to the fact that I was going to die if something wasn't done. Dr. Heydari is the only Dr, I have ever known that didn't make me feel like I was unworthy of medical care. He listened to me and expained in great detail all that is involved. And he really did ease all my fears. I never once felt like I was just a number waiting in a line to have sergery and be sent out the door like I was on some sort of assembly line. What I am trying to say is that Dr. Heydari has the ability to make every single one of his patients feel like they are his only patient. We are people, he knows are names it truely is a family and know matter what the question or problem there is always someone there to help. Before surgery, after surgery and every minute in between. I have so many experiences that I could share that are proof that he is a man who cares. Not just for you the patient but your families too He will take the time no matter what he has to do. With every surgery there can be
complications and risks. I have had to go through several of these and it was rough going at times but I knew Dr. Heydari would save my life and he has more then one, two , three times. I have been through alot and people always ask me, "Am I sorry that I choose this surgery?" My answer to that is no I am not! I would do it again without hesitation. Dr. Heydari is the BEST. If not for him I would not be here to raise my children who are now almost 13 and 7. I could never praise him enough how do you thank some one for giving you your life. He will tell you that I am a strong person. That he just gave me a tool, hes to modest to admit that he is truely one of a kind and without his surgical competence and the commitment he made to saving my life- I would be one more sitistic you see of someone whose had there life cut short due to obesity..................And with that I just want to say thankyou once again to Dr Heydari and all of his staff for fighting this dease and helping make it a thing of the past for so many of the invisible people in this world that are over looked and ridicled. Good luck to you and what ever you decide. Dr. Heydari is number one and so is his team. They are all friends and part of my family..

oh in case you are woundering, before surgery I was over 240 pounds. I am 4 foot 9 inches tall. Today, 5 1/2 years out I weight 100 pounds. I was at my goal weight 6 months out of surgery. Dr. Heydari is always telling me that it's not about looks its about being healthy. He is so awsome and really does care. He did my tummy tuck too and he did such a wounderful job. It is beautiful to this day. If not for him I would of never of had a tummy tuck cause I don't trust anyone else.. He has my complete trust. Thankyou is all I can say it will never be enough for the life I have today. And I am the healthiest I have ever been. My labs are text book perfect. And I owe it all to him... If you go to his website and view the patient showcase, You can view alittle more of my story. I will post more pictures soon

I had my lap-band surgery in Feb 2009. Dr. Heydari was sympathetic to my weight issues and I got the feeling he really wanted to help me. He was concerned about all my health issues and felt the lap-band would be the best choice for me. I knew him from prior non-bariatric surgeries and each time I felt that I was his main concern. I never felt rushed or felt as if he was talking down to me. He was enthusiastic about the amount of weight I could lose but he was realistic. He did not make promises to me that were not attainable. Each visit after the surgery he reviewed my chart and told me how I was doing compared to the average lap-bander. He scheduled regular follow-up visits and spent time at each one going over the expectations and results. He also strongly supports the support group that was organized for us who had already had surgery as well as those planning or thinking about surgery. Dr. Heydari is a wonderful, caring surgeon that I know for me he will be there every step of the way. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone considering bariatric surgery.

I had my Gastric Bypass surgery on 12/03/08, but my bariatric journey started in March 2008 when I went to my informational seminar. I went not knowing if this was what I wanted or needed for myself. I worked at the answering service that took after hour calls for Dr. Heydari and thought he seemed to be such a nice man. Hearing the stories of the patients, meeting his nurse, dietician and then him really made me feel like I was in the right place. Dr. Heydari really cares for everyone of his patients. We agreed that a goal of 180 pounds seemed reasonable and obtainable for me. Dr. Heydari told me that I would lose 75% of the weight in the 1st year and then the last 25% over the 2nd year but if I worked really hard at it, I could reach my goal a bit sooner. At this writing I am 6 pounds away from my goal, and I am 15 1/2 months out of surgery. Dr. Heydari and his staff are still always there for me anytime day or night. My feelings have changed for Dr. Heydari since meeting him. I used to respect him, now I rescpect and love him as a wonderful doctor and beautiful human being. Thank you Dr. Heydari for helping me save my life.

I am just completing my insurance mandated 3 month physician supervised weight loss program. Dr. Heydari has been just wonderful. I am a surgical 'nervous nellie', and while he and his staff have been diligent in informing me of the risks, they have been very supportive and encouraging and PATIENT with me.
His staff is fabulous. They are punctual, loving, and seem to be very well educated on bariatric surgery.
They have a fabulous support group 2x's per month. At least 40 people attend. The before care has been great and the mandatory classes have been very informative. His post surgical care is set up in a very structured way and I'm looking forward to being able to tell you first hand about it. ( My sister is two years out from her surgery and her post care has been great.) He has a wonderful, caring demeanor and has a fabulous reputation for being a wonderful surgeon. His statistics for complications are below the national norm. He gets an A+ from me.

I first met Dr. Heydari 3 years ago when my wife went to see him. She had gastric bypass surgery and lost 173lbs. in 2 years. I decided to have lapband surgery and have already lost 60lbs. and 10 points off my BMI in less than 4 months. Dr. Heydari has truly changed our lives and we can never thank him enough. Besides being a great surgeon, he is an even better person. He and his team never treat you like a number. They treat you like one of their family. What I liked best about the program wss that they were willing to provide whatever level of structure you needed. They have an outstanding support group but do not force it on you. The nutrition classes were very informative. I was very well prepared for surgery and for life after.

The only negative I experienced was the nutritionist that taught the class was a little too extreme in her views regarding food. This was a minor point and did not take away from what I found to be an excellent program.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Heydari and his staff. The are very helpful and informative. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all. I am now able to move and breath with ease. Something I couldn't do 4 months ago. I no longer need to take my diabetic medication. My cholesterol level has been greatly reduced to normal range. I can once again play with my grandchildren without becoming complete exhausted in just a few short minutes. Thanks to Dr. Heydari I Have my life back again. Now hopefully I can live a lot longer and see my grandchildren grow up and have families of their own. I love watching the process of my weight loss and I can't wait to reach my goal weight. This I will achieve with the support of Dr. Heydari and his staff. Many thanks!!!

Dr. Heydari performed my gastric bypass surgery a little over one year ago. I am an "old lady" of almost 65, and thought I would never be thin again. After 15 years of taking 6 insulin shots per day, I had gained over 100 pounds. I had trouble walking due to the weight, had severe arthritis all over, as well as severe fibromyalgia. I knew the fibromyalgia wasn't going away, but hoped for less pain. I have lost 80 pounds since my surgery, and while I still take 6 insulin shots per day, I am taking less insulin, have gotten off my acid reflux meds, my cholesterol meds and my blood pressure meds. I am able to walk quite well, and as a result of my weight loss, I had a wonderful supporting role in a musical last fall. I feel blessed to have met Dr. Heydari and all of his staff. They were encouraging, and yet never pushed me into anything. All of the pre and post classes were very helpful to me in making up my mind. I never felt any pressure, and yet felt I could go to Dr. Heydari, his nurses, his dieticians, or anyone else on his staff with any questions. While there were times when I had some doubts, I know that I made the best decision. I never regretted that decision afterwards.

I met Dr. Heydari at an informational session in Oct. '08, but I took a year to research all the pro's and cons of weight loss surgery before pulling the trigger. The positive forces that influenced me to have the surgery were 1)Many hospital employees were also having surgery performed by Dr. Heydari, and 2) I have a friend that had the surgery and is one of Dr. Heydari's success stories. Everyone in the Dr's staff is more than courteous and professional, but more important - they all really care. The program is very thorough and leaves no stone unturned, and all questions are answered promptly and clearly. I honestly did not have a bad time with any of the classes, but the liquid diets got old in a hurry and were sometimes a bit confusing. The procedure was a breeze and the follow-up care is never-ending,I am proud to be one of Dr. Heydari's success stories.
