Timothy Christopher Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF HIM WAS HE IS A VERY CARING DOCTOR.HIS OFFICE STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL AND SWEET.THE THING THAT REALLY GOT MY ATTENTION WAS WHEN HE TOLD ME TP PRAY ABOUT IT,I KNEW RIGHT THEN DR.CHRISTOPHER AN I HAD A LOT IN COMMON WE GOT GOD ON OUR SIDE.IF ANYONE OUT THERE DOES NOT HAVE A DR. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR.CHRISTOPHER AN HIS ASSOCIATES.

At this time, I am still waiting for my initial appointment with Dr. Christopher on July 16, 2003. However, I met Dr. Christopher when he did my daddy's surgery on April 19, 2002. I really liked his bedside mannor and the fact that he was willing to sit and answer any questions that my mother and I had. I am just wishing now that I could have an earlier appointment....

Dr. Christopher and his staff were wonderful. My consultation went very well. He was very throrough and encouraging. He was also very patient with all of my questions. I'm looking forward to having him do my surgery.

My consultation with Dr. Timothy Christopher was on 4-18-03. My first impression was that this good looking man is younger than I am. At first I was frustrated because his assistant pulled my out of the room because of my low BMI and said because of that the doctor would want to talk with me before going through the procedure with me. Dr. Christopher came in and we discussed all of my medical problems as well as family history. He really was a sweet heart. After finding out about my comorbites he told me that he certainly would submit everything to my insurance carriers, I am covered under 2 plans of BC/BS of Alabama. He said he would get it submitted and then we should hear from them with the next 2 to 4 weeks. I hope that it is closer to 2 because I want this procedure so badly. They then went through the procedure but since I have been studying this procedure for quiet some time now, it was very little information needed to be given to me. I believe he is a great surgeon and I believe he out done himself to make me feel comfortable and to assure me he would do what he could to get me approved. I have put my faith in God that I will be approved.

My first impression of Dr. Christopher was to wonder if he was old enough to be a Dr! He has the most adorable "baby-face". I quickly became aware of his expertise in the field of Morbid Obesity and Bariatric Surgery. He took as much time with me as I asked for.......he never made me feel rushed. Dr Christopher took a great deal of time explaining the surgical risks to me. He also explained why I was a surgical candidate despite the risks. Im thrilled with both him and his office staff. After my surgery, I saw Dr. Christopher's 2 partners while I was an in-patient. I would have liked to have seen Dr. Christopher himself at least once after surgery.
Im about to have my first week post-op visit with Dr. Christopher (tomorrow, March 26,2003.) I will have more to say after that visit.

Dr. Christopher was extremely knowledgeable about life as an obese person. Neither he nor his staff ever made me feel as if I was being judged because of my weight. He is very capable and presented himself as such. He also has a wonderful bedside manner. His staff is very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you. Dr. Christopher was wonderful during my surgery and my post-operative hospital stay. He has the rare combination of surgical competence as well as bedside manner. A 100/A+ in my book!

I met Dr. Christopher today and he is very personable, very nice. He really put me at ease about this surgery and its risks. He also did a residency under a doctor I work for, who is very particular, so I know if he could get past my boss, he has to be good.

My initial appointment is scheduled for Feb 12, 2003. After looking at several surgeons I chose Dr. Christopher because of the comments by his previous patients. Also, he seems to have a lot of experience.

Well my initial consultation is over. Dr. Christopher was awesome. He explained everything in detail and answered all my questions very thoroughly. I do not have to do anything like a sleep study or a psychiatric evaluation. I would definitley recommend Dr. Christopher from what I know so far. The office staff was great and very helpful. He explained to me that he and his colleagues had preformed probably over 3000 surgeries with no deaths. (This was very promising!) I would tell anyone to see Dr. Christopher!

Dr. Christopher and his entire staff were great. My appointment was at 1:00 on Jan. 24. Go there at 12:40, sat down to read and in 5 min. they called me back. Dr. C's PA talked with me about everything. Very informative. Dr. Christopher also spent alot of time with me. This is the first time in all of my life I can ever remember going to a doctor and feeling like he was not in a hurry. He was very casual, but thorough. I would him and his staff excellent!

Dr. Christopher is very nice and has a sense of humor that I really enjoyed!


My impression has not changed!

The staff at the Cahaba Valley Surgical Center is Amazing!
