Robert Marema Bariatric Surgeon

My first impression of Dr.Marema was good. He is a calm, relaxed person with a slice of great personality!

As time has gone on (months) my impression has only improved!
The staff is WONDERFUL!!! They are quite busy and work a lot (Traveling with him to other parts of Florida).
Their program is very detailed form the infancy stages of our WLS journey all the way through to becoming a " Veteran".
Dr.Marema and his staff are dreadfully honest about the risk of WLS. You by no means are misled or uninformed.
Dr. Marema surgical skill and bedside manner are very good and I feel very comfortable with him.
Now there is always a downside to all great stories, the only thing is that you will wait for several months before you will actually have the surgery. I guess now that I think about it, that is really a good thing becasue you really have time to think and time to make sure this is for YOU!

Dr. Marema and his staff are great they are on top of everything. My impression of them has been fabulous...

Dr. Marema was wonderful! I was a little mad at his office staff for moving my date around but they ended up taking me eariler. So, that more than makes up for it. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Marema is very professional, patient and knowledgeable. His office staff is very helpfull and informative. My primary care physician was the one who refered me to him, quote "he is the best in the field" was the words he used to describe him. I liked his informative meetings. You know before hand what to expect and what you are going to go through. You do not get a pretty picture to try to convince you, but the facts , with the good, the bad and the ugly. Dr. Marema and his staff care and support are shown with the structure program that he offers. I would not go through this with any other doctor.

He was kind and gentle.
The staff was very helpful.
The Dr. and Staff are very informative and looking out for the patents best intrest. Dr. Marema has information classes and his own support Groups that he really encourages everyone to attend.
He really makes sure you understand everything.
so far I think he is a 10.
I think he is great at both his Surgical Competence and bedside manner.

Dr. Marema is a wonderful, caring doctor. What makes him so special is that he truly understands because he has had the surgery himself

I call Dr. Marema "The God to Fat People" He chuckles everytime I say it. I do not have a bad word to say about him or his staff. This man is a professional and he really cares.

As a matter of fact, a very close friend of mine is flying in from Philadelphia to have her surgery done by him.

I was very impressed with Dr. Marema because not only does he specialize in RNY surgery, he is also a patient, as is his wife, Rita.

Dr. Marema's staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Quite a few of his staff members have also had the surgery.

Dr. Marema holds a monthly informational/support group meeting and has a strong aftercare program.

As I have not yet had my surgery, I cannot comment on his bedside manner.

My first impression of Dr. Marema was that he takes the surgery serious. This will be a tool to help me not a miracle.
Dr. Marema is a funny fellow!
The office staff is very busy.
I liked that Dr. Marema knows first hand on the surgery and how his pt feels since he has had it done to himself.
Future patients should know that there are many people waiting to get an appointment with him. Be patient he is very busy.
Dr. Marema emphasize that aftercare is very important part of this tool.

a bit busy, but very nice, has very good educational system with his staff. Addresses risks thouroughly. My daughter having surgery with him next month.
