The man is a gem. I was a little leary at first, only because he seemed to good to be true. He and his office staff are always courteous and available. He is personally available if you need to talk directly to him, he will return calls. This has only been necessary once since my surgery, I usually talk with either his wonderful nurse or the support group leader.
He was up-front about the down side as well as the positives. He wants everyone to be informed and make decisions based on the facts. His stress on aftercare is fantastic. He doesn't mind preaching it either. He expects you to comply with doctor's orders. You trusted him with your care and he should be able to trust you to provide the self-care you need.
Overall, I can't imagine I'd find better care anywhere. Surgical competence and bedside manner are both great.
Again, the only negative that I experienced was the fact that it was difficult to trust him at first because he seemed too good to be true.
My first impression of Dr. Warnock was great. I really felt that he cared about me as a patient that he wants to help. His office staff seems friendly, especially Kim. I had a few questions and concerns and I called her and she was so nice and helpful. I really feel comfortable talking to her, she is really great!!! I do believe that I am in good hands with Dr. Warnock. He is a Christian, and that, I am greatful for. He emphasizes on how important aftercare is and the risks and rewards of this surgery. I do rate him a 10.
Dr. Warnock is a very kind man. He seems to be in command of his environment (which is what you want in someone who will be cutting you open). He is a down-home cowboy type guy and that puts me at ease (because I grew up in a small town in TX). I have only had one consult and, so far, all is well. He put me at ease and took quite a bit of time explaining everything, answering questions. . and giving me the good, bad and ugly of the procedures. He is a man of faith and, while that makes me more comfortable, it may effect other people differnely.
When I met Dr. Warnock, I automatically fell in love with him he is such a peaceful man. The staff was great, since the moment I walked into the building everyone was polite and friendly.
After i was called to see him it took about 5 minutes for him to walk into the room that I was in and instantly I felt a great feeling of peace and trust. I looked into his eyes and I knew that he was the perfect Dr. for me. He emphasized on the risks and the changes that i have to go through for this to work. In a scale of 1 to 10 10 being the best ever. I would give him a 15.
My first impression of Dr. Warnock was he was very caring, and passionate about his work. He was very knowledgeable and very strong in his faith.
His office staff was pretty quiet for the most part. Debbie was very nice and Joann was really helpful and also very nice and easy to talk to.
I think future patients should know that Dr. Warnock is very distinguished in his field of work. He is very humble and I would and I am trusting him with my life.
He really emphasized on upkeep and after care and how important it is to take care of yourself.
He was very sure to point out ALL of the risk of this kind of surgery. He did not candy coat anything. He makes sure to tell you of any and all complications that may occur. So far if I had to rate Dr.Warnock, I would rate him a 9 on a scale from 1-10. I think that everyone has room for improvement.
I got an appointment within days of calling to schedule. When I was there I waited for what seemed like days. Dr. Warnock is very knowledgeable and made sure that I understood what the surgery was all about. He seems very genuine. To be honest, I had heard alot of bad things about him over the years, but recently heard from many who have had this surgery. I have yet to hear a bad thing about his bariatrics practice.
I meet Dr. Warnock about 2 years ago when I went for a consult but was denied then. Now my insurance company does't cover WLS any more for any reason. I really liked the dr & I hope to one day have the surgery done by him. He explained everything about WLS very well. I really didn't have to ask any questions because he had answered them all by the end of my consult.
