Helmut Schreiber Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

Dr. Schreiber was the most wonderful surgeon I could ask for. He was right there for me when I needed him and was easy to talk to..His office staff is just great I have seen alot of health care workers and they have by far the best staff all the way around!!! He should and does take great pride in how he and Dr. Sonpal have helped hundreds of people. The way they have the program set up is remarkable and I would have not went anywhere else!

dr schreiber was very business like and professional. he took his time with us he didnt make me feel like we were rushed in and out. he took the time to answer all of our questions. his staff was fantastic. sonya is funny and i look forward to seeing her every time i weigh in. im concerned about the after care. at my 6 week check up i was told that dont need another appointment for 4 months. i was told of a nutritionist that we could meet with. i think i talked to her the day that i was released from the hospital. a few months into this is when we need some reassurance that were doing things right and also some correction if were not doing things right. dr schreiber let us know that this surgery is not for everyone but that i was a good candidate for this surgery and there are risks. we were well informed by him.

My first impression of Dr. Schreiber was that he was right to the point and very professional. I really didn't think I was going to like him very much. But after the surgery and he came to see me in the hospital I saw the caring and very compassionate side of him. He makes sure you are aware of all aspects of the surgerys risk and makes sure you fully understand how important aftercare is to the sucsess of the surgery. His staff is the most wonderful people who truly show concern for your needs. Always polite and helpful in all situation whether it is just to ease your concerns and fears or a real need. I would highly recomend Dr. Schreiber and the Cleveland Bariatric Center to anyone interested in this kind of surgery.

I was very happy to meet with Dr. Schreiber 2 years
ago and then again just 9/00. He is very honest, open
sincere and professional. I found this reassuring.
The office was comfortable (seats big enough for me!) and the
staff are VERY VERY compassionate and friendly.

Yes!I have finally picked a surgeon.
I will meet him for the first time on Oct-6th,2000 this will be for my consultation and can then be told a surgery date.
Dr.Schreiber is 2 hours away,but I have done enough research on him to feel very confident.

he is a great guy a very caring and understanding man an he will listen to you and take the time to anwser all your questions he knows what a change this will be in your life and he will help you get ready for that new person thats about to appear after the operation

I had heard nothing but good things about Dr. Schreiber. I do medical transcription and I know that he is well respected among his peers. Upon meeting Dr. Schreiber for the first time my first impression was of someone who is truely interested in you as a person. He asked me questions about myself and listened while I answered them. He was very up front about the seriousness of this procedure. Overall knowing that he will be my surgeon gives me a sense of calmness about my decision to proceed with the surgery.

I can honestly say that after my first visit to Dr. Schreiber’s office any doubt or fear I may have had about having the procedure done is completely gone. From the moment I walked into the office I felt so at home. Myself and everyone there were treated exceptionally well by all of the staff. Any questions that we could pose to them were answered. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism that was shown by the entire staff. Sheri was an extreme help and is the go to girl when it comes to getting insurance approval.

Dr. Schreiber was a very knowledgeable man and explained everything down to the minutest detail. He took extra time to listen to my medical history and answered any question that I had. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and care that he displayed toward me during my first visit. If you have to pick a doctor - DO NOT overlook this one!

I was very please and informed at my visit with Dr. Schreiber, He was very nice, direct and informative. I cannot wait to see if my insurance company is going to cover this (I have heard they USUALLY do). The staff is incredable, especially Sheri, she was great!
