The first time I met Dr. Harrington it was at the group session. When I met him at my one on one consultant appointment he was very professional and kind. He really made me feel hopeful about being able to have the surgery. I would recommend him to anyone that is thinking about having the surgery. I will tell you more about the experience after my surgery.rnrnThe surgery went well, my dr. was great!! I had no pain or complications. He was very caring and patient. He made me feel like things were going to be ok and I was in good hands. He is great!!

I've only met with Dr. Harrington once (office visit) and attended 1 information group that he participated in. He is very professional and very nice. His office staff is great!!

My impression was positive. He is a good surgeon.

My first honest impression was he was too skinny. I realized later I was just too fat. His office staff was fair to good. He has since moved out of state to DC & MD. I often saw the Nurse Practioner because he is so busy. After 6weeks you eat just about any low fat no fat food except for red meats. The office quizzed me before surgery. I had to go to another meeting about how to expect to live after surgery. Overall I give him a 10. HONESTLY! Both bedside manner & surgical competence was great.rn

I was really impressed with Dr. Harrington and his staff, Dr. Harrington is a great Doctor, I'm so happy I choose him, I have no regrets.

All i can say about Dr. Gary Harrington, is that he is a medical genius. I recommend him to those who is considering weight loss surgery. He is the best!

I went to Bariatric information seminars at Holy Cross Hospital given by 3 different Surgeons. My impression of Dr Harrington was a good one. He is caring, competent, well spoken and attractive. So far my impression has only become stronger. I have only good things to say about his staff as well. Every aspect of my surgery and visits went with out a hitch. He is diligent in his aftercare instructions and I had to take a written test covering what I knew about the surgery and the risks prior to the procedure.rnIn my opinion, if you are lucky enough to get great bed side manner along with surgical competence it is great. But I don't plan to have a relationship with my surgeon so competence is my main concern.rnI was lucky enough to get both.

My first impression of Dr. Harrington was that he seems like a highly intelligent Doctor. He seems very serious in all aspects and takes his job seriously. rnrnHe isn't very personable, but rather \"technical\" in nature, which is fine by me, I'd rather have a serious person operating on me as opposed to some goof ball. I think he has his act together and will do a great job during my surgery. Alfrieda is his right hand, she has her stuff together as well. She is more strict than Dr. Harrington, but that's fine by me. I respect her and think she will do great for me once my surgery is complete. I look forward to having these guys save my life. rnrnTheir aftercare program doesn't seem to be as stringent as other places I've attempted to get my surgery through. I think surgical competence is the most important aspect of this procedure and hope that my judge of character is correct with Dr. Harrington and Alfrieda.

HE WAS VERY NICE AND ANSWERED ALL MY OUESTIONS.MADE ME FEEL SAVE KNOWING HE IS THE ONE TO DO MY RNY. THE STAFF WAS VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL I WAS REALLY NERVOUS . HES A GREAT DOCTORS AND CAN PUT YOUR MIND AT EASE ABOUT THE OP.THEY ARE VERY CLEAR ABOUT ON AFTER CARE AND EMPHASIZE ON HOW IMPORTMENT TO FOLLOW THEIR AFTER CARE PROGRAM. THEY TALK TO YOU AT LENGTH ON ALL ASCEPTS OF RNY AND THE RICKS .EXCELLENT DOCTOR AND STAFF. BOTH SURGICAL COMPETENCE,BEDSIDE MANNER IS VRY IMPORTMENTTO ME AND THEY SHOW ME THEY ARE VERY SKILLED AT BOTH. MADE YOU FEEL LIKE A HUMAN BEING AND SOMEONE REALLY CARES ABOUT YOUHEALTH. I THINK DOCTOR AND STAFF ARE GREAT. IM STILL A LITTLE SCARE AFRAID IT MAY NOT WORK FOR ME IM LEARNING TO COPE WITH THAT.THANKS SHIRLEY WELLS 1/11/2007
