My First Impression of DR Dewitt was WOW He is cute. So young looking to be a surgeon. But as soon as he started to talk I new he was as competent as he was good looking. I personally have never had a problem with his office staff they have always been just as sweet as can be to me. He sit me down and ask me over and over did I have any questions he could answer for me he was very thorough and took his time and made sure I was comfortable with what he told me. He strongly emphasized how I would have to follow strict after care and It hasnt been hard to do. He gave me a structured after care program to follow and sent me plenty of information in the mail when I first called to set up my first appt. He was very open about the risk and benefits of surgery. I would rate him overall a 10 and his surgical competence and bedside manner are both great. I would recommend him to anyone. He saved my life and that is not something I will ever forgot. He took top spot as my favorite DR.
Dr. DeWitt seems to be a wonderful doctor. He is very nice and caring. The office staff is very friendly. They have assisted me in setting a preferred surgery date and time of day. However, I had to call every couple of days to see if they had filed my paperwork with the insuranc co. It took about 1 1/2 months for them to file the papers.
I have only had one consult with Dr. DeWitt so far. He was wonderful. He was very informative and understanding. He is doing several things during my surgery---removing a stone filled gall bladder, doing the gastric bypass and repairing a hernia that is in desperate need of repair. He seems very confident and willing to listen and answer all my questions. He carefully explained all the risks involved and reassured me that, in my particular case, it was definitely the best course of action for me to live a healthy, happy life.
Dr. DeWitt was very nice to me. This was what happened the day I saw him. First I viewed a video for about 15 minutes which gave me a website for further info.

Dr. DeWitt put me at ease when I spoke with him. He was very thorough. He explained the surgery, risks and what to expect. I did have to wait a long time in the office to see him my appointment was at 2:30pm I didn't get in to see the video until 4:00pm, then the Dr. didn't come in after until about 4:45pm. He takes as much time with you as you want. He will answer any questions you have no matter how long it takes. His staff seemed very efficient, the lady I dealt with was very polite and soft spoken even though it was late in the day. She did say they had more help now. After Surgery He sees his patients at 2 wks after surgery, then 1 mth, 3 mths, 6 mths, 12 mths, and then yearly unless there is some problem. He explained the eating requirements before and after surgery. I liked him very well, he said he had done 300 LAP Surgeries. He had a wonderful bedside manner, friendly, but professional. He answered all of my questions. I felt real at ease during my whole visit.
Dr. DeWitt is the greatest. He managed to perform laproscopic surgery on me even though I have had numerous abdominal surgeries and have a lot of scar tissue. I was up and walking the first day and I went home on the third day. I am two weeks post-op and have had no nausea or any adverse reactions. Dr. DeWitt seems to really enjoying transforming people's lives. Not only is he a great surgeon but he also has a wonderful bedside manner.
His baby blues will catch you off guard! :-) I felt that he was very knowlegable and he was quick to answer all my questions and concerns. His office staff was nice and easy to deal with. He has a very thougho aftercare program and really wants his patients to stay in contact with him postop. He explained the possible risks to make sure I understood everything. His bedside manner is awesome!!!
Dr. DeWitt was very charming and attentive.
My impression has not changed.
The Staff/office could communicate better. They are not as warm as Dr. DeWitt
Dr. DeWitt veiws all provided information very carefully. He wants to be sure you understand pros and cons.
He emphasize portion control, supplements and
walking.
I dont see his aftercare as structured.
He covered the areas of risk very clearly.
I rate him about a 8 1/2. His surgical competence and beside manners could be a model for others in the medical field.
Both are great.
First impression of Dr. DeWitt was very good. Have not had enough contact as of yet to change opinion. Office staff had both good points and some minor problems. Dr. Dewitt addressed the risks of surgery and answered all questions that I had. I will wait until after my surgery to comment on him further.
