My first impression of Dr. fisher is \"wow he's young.\" He was a very good listener and very down to earth. He made me feel comfortable asking questions. His staff is top knotch - very friendly and helpful. rnDr. Fisher came highly recommended by friends who had GB. rnrnAftercare doesn't seem to be something they've put a ton of thought into - there's a booklet they give you and you have an assigned dietician and psych person - but the booklet jumps all over the place and I think could be redone to include a lot more information and links - and layed out chronologically. I've found out more on OH and the support group since.
My first impression of Dr. Fisher was like most, wow he seems pretty young. He was also very candid in his conversation about the lap band and the RNY surgery. When I had entered his office I was dead set on the lap band surgery. There was going to be no changing my mind I thought. After listening to what he had to say about both surgeries, I left there changing my mind thinking that maybe the RNY was the better way to go. I like the fact that I didn't feel any pressure to 1.) have surgery or 2.) select one over the other. I asked a lot of questions, and I never felt rushed with his time to answer those questions for me and my husband. His office staff is very nice, although sometimes I think that they get a bit too busy, especially when it comes to times when people go on vacation.rnrnI think that anyone considering speaking with him will be very pleased that they have done so. He has great bedside manner which is so important, especially after such an important surgery. Granted you want a very talented surgeon, and my surgery went A+ but you also need someone who is going to be supportive. I feel very good about my decision to choose him as my surgeon and feel that I will be taken care of very well during my aftercare. During my stay in the hospital I had the chance to see a couple of his partners and I would say that that the best bedside manner anyone had was Dr. Nagy. He didn't want me to feel like I was being pushed out of my room since I was taking a bit longer to recover. He was funny and polite and made me feel at ease even though it was the first time I had seen him.rnrnI would highly recommend anyone who is considering having this surgery go through this office. I am VERY picky about Dr.'s as I have seen more than my fair share in my lifetime. Trust me you need not only a skilled surgeon, but you also want one that puts your mind at ease, and Dr. Fisher is just that man.
Dr. Scott Fischer was a wonderful doctor, Although I was suprided he was so young and cute. He is very nice and patient. He and his staff make you feel comfortable and they follow-up with everything. They are all so supportive and the office enviornment is very pleasant. I had no problems with my auth. They got it to go right on through no hassel. They really work for you. They explain everything in great detail and go over all the risk and facts of the surgery. There was never a day that he was supposed to be there that he wasn't when I was in the hospital. When I awoke from my surgery he was there to make sure I felt ok. They really take you by the hand.rn
My first impression of Dr. Fedorak was that he was a very down to earth person. He was very informative. He also gets my sense of humor.rnMost of the office staff is very friendly and helpful. As with all offices, you will have a couple of people that just aren't all the personable. But, small price to pay. I don't have to deal w/ them all that often.rnDr. Fedorak is firm on aftercare. He explained all the risks of the surgery up front. He gave me examples of some of the things that have happened to other patients (no names of course!). He was even up front, that yes, he did have a patient that died. However, she did not die as a result of the surgery itself. She had other complications afterwards.rnI would give Dr. Fedorak 5 stars!!

I am scheduled to meet with Dr. Fisher on Thursday, November 2. He has performed WLS on three other people where I work so I will see if he does anything like a \"buy 3, get 1 free\" special! LOL, ok, not really, but when I told his coordinator that she laughed and told me I should. We'll see. I've heard wonderful things about him, and from his picture, I like him.rnrnI will add an update after this week.rnrnOK, here it is, January 14 and I haven't updated!rnrnI like Dr. Fisher a lot. He's very down to earth, easy to talk to, answers all your questions, etc. I feel very comfortable and confident with him.rnrnJanuary 31, surgery was January 22. rnrnDr. Fisher came to see me each day after surgery. I felt that I was always in good hands with him.
My first impression of him was that he seemed to be very compassionate. The office staff is very helpful and wonderful. I love their scale, very discreet despite the size. Dr. Fishers office is very into before and after care, and requires several appointment following post op year. The after care program is very structured, they truly want success for all of the patients. He was very honest regarding the risks of surgery. Overall I would say that Dr. fisher is very competent as well as his staff. I really love Jodi Currie, she has been so helpful, and I am very thankful. Surgical competence and bedside manner are both very good attributes that Dr. Fisher and his staff have. The only thing I have negative I would have to say about them is they have a lot of patients and my surgery date will take a bit longer because of scheduling of other patients already in front of me. I am being a bit selfish don't you say?
When I met with Dr. Fedorak for the first time, I was extremely impressed. He spent over an hour on my consultation and he spent as much time asking questions and listening as he did talking. This was so refreshing because too many doctor's do not listen to their patients. He was very personable but also very professional and knowledgeable. He was very open and honest about the risks of the surgery and his practices results, which are . His office staff was so friendly and so efficient. rn
