This really hasn't been as bad as I expected. As long as it's very cold it is fine. I also found that while they recommend you start with a min of 6-8oz of water 10oz worked best for me... it's a viscosity thing!!! Dutch Chocolate is the only flavor I use - the smell of vanilla powder gags me!!! I add extracts once in a while for a treat - raspberry has been my favorite!!
(indicates that they have not used the product)I started on the Medifast diet 2 weeks prior to my surgery. I was surprised to find that it wasnt as awful as I was expecting. The chocolate shakes and pudding was good, the banana pudding wasnt half bad. I didnt care for some of the other flavors, but I am still testing some out.
(indicates that they have used the product)At first I didn't much care for the taste, but after playing around with flavors and adding some things I found them quite tasty. I often mix my chocolate and vanilla shakes with cold decaf coffee and ice and have a chilled iced coffee drink without the fat & calories. You can also add some Crystal Light, liquid food flavoring, fat-free/sugar free pudding to the mix and create all kinds of flavors. The soups and bars aren't bad either - it just takes some experimenting but I lost 20 pounds in the first week and then an average of 2 to 4 pounds per week after that. Helps to drink plenty of water in between supplements to stay satisfied.
(indicates that they have not used the product)Really tasts quite good! I am drinking it pre-op program, so can't speak yet to any post-op value. It goes down rather light, but is quite satisfying and tasty. Fun to play with flavorings in: I've used fresh mint leaves, caramel sugar-free flavoring, etc.
(indicates that they have not used the product)They tasted chalky at first, but I got used to them and lived on them for a time. But, then they started to taste worse and worse and I acutally got a little nauseated from them. But, they worked for me to lose weight and that's worth its weight in gold! The ready-made drinks taste better than in powder form.
