I used the chicken noodle soup, chilli, beef stew, and the banana pudding during my pre op diet, and also used the foods after my surgery to help with my protein source. The price is slightly high for the foods, but its worth it to help you get through the pre op liquid dieting, and even after surgery to keep up on your protein intake.
(indicates that they have used the product)I have found that Medifast is excellent for pre and post op patients. I had surgery a while ago and gained some weight back and when I wanted to go back to the basics of after surgery I found Medifast. Small portions, high protein, low carb, low fat, low sugar. Its ideal!
(indicates that they have used the product)I had Open RNY 8 years ago, lost 150 lbs but gained 70 back. I thought I would go back to the basics of after surgery and I found Medifast products. I have loved them. They are perfect in portion size, nutrients, and I have been successful at relosing my weight.

Love the Dutch Chocolate 70 shakes, and have also tried the Vanilla as well, although to make it palatable, I have to add some pumpkin spice, cinnamon, vanilla flavoring or something else. Just easier and very yummy to stick with the chocolate, although it is 10 more calories than the Vanilla! I use 1 full cup of water on the blender, then add the packet carefully. After blending on high for a few minutes, I add 8 to 10 ice cubes and run it on the "crush ice" setting for a few minutes, then puree for a while longer. Comes out cold and wonderful! Almost like a real shake, yum! Have 4 shakes plus the lean and green meal at dinner each day, and although I find myself missing brussels sprouts (darn it!), potatoes & breads, the weight lost so far makes it all worthwhile! Lost 21 lbs the first week, then 7lbs the 2nd week, and 8 more the third with hopes to continue. Seems as though surgery day can't arrive soon enough though. :o) UPDATE: Surgery is in three days now, WOW! I lost every week I was on Medifast except one, which was my fault. Went to five shakes (doubled my dinner one) and no meal for the last few weeks and am very tired, however the weight loss has been fantastic! Lost a total of 84 pounds so far, that in almost three months time, and prior to surgery too! Anyway, if you mix this product right and follow the doctor's orders, you're sure to get wonderful results!
(indicates that they have not used the product)For a 4 wk supply i had to pay $200.00, very very expensive. I noticed if you heta the water up then mix it with the poweder then add it to ice, it taste pretty good. The vanilla one was not my fav, it tasted too chalky. I t didnt fill me up and I was still hungry afterwards.
(indicates that they have not used the product)At first it seemed very expensive. I bought the pre made ones looks like a juice box. There were so convenient, real filling and only 90 CALORIES. My dr recommends this pre and post op. The carnation I thought was horrible. I bought the vanilla & Choc. I am a vanilla person, but like the choc better. Well worth the money and they have low shipping costs.
