I have known Dr. Andrei since 2006. When I first met Dr. Andrei I knew he was the doctor I needed. Dr. Andrei was always upfront with me about my situation. Dr. Andrei and his staff are an amazing group of people. They treat me as though I am part of the family, I never felt uncomfortable in their presence.
The thing I like about Dr. Andrei is his way of making everything seem okay. He always have this attitude of "okay, let's fix it". Dr. Andrei is one of the few bariatric surgeons who keeps a close eye on his patients. He has the best staff I have ever encountered in the medical field. After surgery, someone from his office, either Shannon or Andy calls every day for two weeks.
Dr. Andrei's first hand assistant Dee is amazing. I had a revision on Thursday, February 9, 2012; Dee came to visit me in the hospital on Friday morning and stayed with me for hours to make sure the nurse on duty was doing everything right regarding my recovery. I thought she was on duty, but actually she was on vacation that day. She just came to the hospital to check on me! I was really impress with Dee. To be honest, this treatment is common with all of Dr. Andrei's staff.
My family and I will forever be grateful for Dr. Andrei and his wonderful staff.
Dr Andrei changed my life I was 401 Lbs At my heaviest. I had the Gastric Band Surgery Nov 2008 and at present I weigh 239. Dr andrei and his staff are extremely attentive and and helpful in helping you reach your goal. And he always tells you like it is if your being bad...I recommend that anyone who needs weight loss surgery use Dr Andrei He is the Best!!!
I first heard about Dr. Andrei through Star 99.1 radio station. I thought I should go in for a consultation. After my first visit, I knew I wanted to trust Dr.Andrei with my lapband surgery. He is incredibly kind and patient, and his staff follows suit. Everyone knows your name when you walk in and they always show concern for how your feeling! They have become my second family and i love them all! They bend over backwards to get authorizations from your insurance and make the whole.experience painless for you. It's been almost 2 weeks post surgery and I am so happy I chose Dr.Andrei!
Dr. Andrei and his staff are beyond FANTASTIC. Everyone knows you by name when you walk into the office and are beyond friendly and personable. Before surgery Dr. Andrei reviews the different types of surgery and which one you are deciding on he explains into detail and before you leave him he makes sure you understand every step, every part, and every detail of the surgery. His staff is always willing and available to answer any questions you may have. I am so glad I found Dr. Andrei!
Dr. Andrei is very good at helping his patients progress toward their weight loss goals. He does his best to ensure the health of his patients after surgery with regular weigh-ins, blood tests, etc.
Dr. Andrei is a terrific surgeon and a kind and generous person. He has a great aftercare program with regular support meetings. He cares about the well-being of his patients above all else.
So, her it is two years later (January 21, 2012 was two years post op) and I can't begin to tell you the joy and pleasure I have in life now. Dr. Andrei, the office staff, support groups... I could go on. YOU ARE NEVER IN THIS ALONE!
To date, I have lost 120lbs, gone from a size 26/28 to asize 6/8 (a 7/9 in juniors! Yes, I said juniors!). I can't thank Dr. Andrei enough for giving me the tools to help me achieve my goal... to look and ffel better, for my kids, for my husband, FOR ME!!
After a year and a half of research, I finally found Dr. Andrei. Not only were his reviews great, but several of the peole my husband works wiht and their wives have used him for their wight loss surgery. rnUpon meeting Dr. Andrei for the first time, I was at ease, knowing that I was in the best possible hands. Not only did he interview me, but I interviewd him. The one question that I asked of other doctor's, that noone seemsed to be able to answer honestly was \"Why do you do this?\". Dr. Andrei looked me straight in the eye and said to me, \"I love what I do. IT is the only thing I do. It is important to me, more thatn anything else, to be able to help people achieve their goals of weight loss. I WANT to help you.\" rnI looked my husband in the eye righ tthere and said lets do this. rnMy surgery was scheduled about 3 months after my initial appointment, only to be postponed twice, through no fault of the doctor. I had surgery on January 21,2010. THe support of everyone, from the wonderful office staff, to that of Dr. Andrei, to the nurses of St. Barnabas hospital. I cannot say enough about these people. I am lloking forward to a new life, new me.
Dr. Andrei was great and made me feel like I was part of his family during my surgery. He was always there to assure me and answer any questions. Some Doctors you are just a number but not in this case. Thank you Dr. Andrei!

I heard about Dr. Andrei from a radio commercial on Star 99.1. I never dreamed that I would EVER be a candidate for weight loss surgery but I am glad I explored it. Dr. Andrei's office staff (who you deal with most of the time) are wonderful. They all seem to be very happy at their job and that comes through to their patients. The only "hiccup" I encountered was my insurance company, but the office staff helped me through the whole process. If you are considering this journey, I would recommend setting up a time with Dr. Andrei. I believe once you meet everyone, you'll feel confident that you found the right place.
