I'm coming up on my 6 month anniversary of my surgery this week and I'm feeling great. I've had really no complications and no pain. Mild nausea every now and then if i eat to fast or to much but other than that I've been feeling and doing great. I think a lot of this has to do with Dr. Andrei and his staff. They call to check up on me and keep me up to date with all my appointments and adjustments. They're a great team and an excellent support system.
Im 3 weeks post op(band) and I'm doing great. Dr. Andrei and his staff are amazing. They were very helpful through the entire process and made the months leading up my surgery go very smoothly. Dr. Andrei is definitely one of the best and I'm glad I decided to go with him as my doctor. I've had little to no pain since my surgery and three weeks out im feeling just like my old self again. I would 100% recommend this surgery and Dr. Andrei to anyone who is looking for a weight loss solution.
Dr Andrei is AWESOME! I was one of his first patients and have referred about 6 people to him whom all had excellent results. I know people who have not had success with this surgery and some who have died and I wish they went to Dr. Andrei because they would have had great results.
Dr Andrei and his staff are wonderful, they take you by the hand & guide you thru the process step by step like a parent teaching a child how to ride a bike. They never leave you wondering about anything. IT has been a wonderful experience. I would diffently recommend Dr. Andrei to anyone who is struggeling with weight.
Choosing Dr. Andrei to do my surgery has been been the best and most important decision that i could have made. He is a professional in every sense of the word to go along with being one of the nicest doctors i have ever come across.He took the time to explain and reassure all steps of my procedure to me in a manner that i never felt small,silly or even nervous.His staff at his office are nothing short of the nicest and most dedicated people you will ever encounter. They have been with me every step of the way and i have never felt alone or uninformed at any time, pre or post surgery. Their care for their patients is genuine and they go out of their way to help you in every aspect of the procedure.They truely make you feel as family.Comming through the door of this office has been the best decision me and my wife could have ever made......
At first I was not sure about having the surgery because I always was able to loss weight when I put my mind to it,but after getting older it became very diffcult to lose the weight. I became very frustrated . A friend of mine told me about the procedure and I became interested in proceding to have the lapband. Dr.Andrei and the entire staff were very professional and reach out to me daily for my care. So far I am please with the results.
Dr. Andrei is the greatest bariatric surgeon I have ever met in my entire life! I would never choose anyone else! Andy, Pam, and the rest of his staff are just as great! They build such a strong relationship with you and they treat you with so much care and really take the time to make sure that you as a patient are healthy and happy. They provide excellent support to all of their patients on their journeys. I know a few friends that were bariatric patients of Dr. Andrei's also and they felt the same way. Everyone in the office is so friendly and are willing to help in any way possible. Every day after my surgery for the first two weeks, Andy (Dr. Andrei's assistant) called to see how I was, sometimes twice a day. Pam provides excellent nutrition information and really helps you to stay eating right. I had the lapband put in twice; the first time I was having personal issues that had nothing to do with Dr. Andrei and I had to have it taken out after a few months. Dr. Andrei was pretty upset with this, but even after he took the band out, him and his staff still kept in touch and provided nutrition appointments. After a few months, I decided to have it put back in and I chose Dr. Andrei for the second time again. He wanted to send me to a surgeon in New York that could take care of me better because of my complications, but I had so much confidence in Dr. Andrei and feel so comfortable with him that I really didn't want any other surgeon to perform my surgery no matter how good they were said to be, I wanted Dr. Andrei. He expressed such gratitude and appreciation by this and it felt good to make it known how important he is to each and every one of his patients. He did my surgery almost a month ago and he has fixed the problems that I have had the first time so now I can continue on my journey. He really is excellent. If anyone is looking into bariatric surgery and haven't found a surgeon, I HIGHLY suggest going to Dr. Andrei. You won't regret it.
It's been 3 years since my surgery, I am so very pleased on the results that I've acheived and most of it has to do what I've put into getting to where I am now. Also with the help of Dr. Andrei and Pam for being there along the way - post surgery. I keep up on all my bloodwork and appointments to keep me on track with my current weight loss and I've never felt more healthier. I look forward to the support groups, always learning something new and get to share my experience with others. It's really amazing. Thank You everyone at the office for all your support and being so wonderful. You make the visits to the office very pleasing and fun....
My surgery was on January 29, 2009. I first met Dr. Andrei back in August of 2008. I am so glad that I was referred to him by my friend who had the bariatric surgery 2 yrs ago. My first impression of Dr. Andrei was that he was going to very informative, great, kind & caring doctor. The staff in the office is also all the above. I love visiting with Pam, she is so bubbly. My impression of him and the staff have not changed at all. I look forward to visiting the office on my visits, I always feel so welcomed there. I enjoy talking and listening to all the other patients, making new friends. I attend all the monthly seminars, which I enjoy as well. Before surgery, Dr. Andrei calls all his patients personally to see how you're doing and checks up on you. The day of surgery went very well, the experience was awesome (being this was my first time ever having any kind of surgery or even being in a hospital). I have experienced no probelms or issues. I had gone home two days later and between Pam and Dr. Andrei, they called me every day for the first 4 days to see how I was. He is a very caring , passionate doctor and is very thorough with his patients. The office emphasizes a lot on the after care and you need to listen and I suggest go to the seminars. I would recommend Dr. Andrei to anyone that I know who is interested in the surgery, which I already have. I rate him and the office personnel very highly. Last but not least is that I believe that these two things - surgical competence & bedside manner are both needed very much and are very important.
So, it's almost two years now since I had my weight lose surgery (gastric by-pass) and I am proud to say that I have maintained keeping off over one hundred pounds. That's not to say that has been easy, because I have to always bare in mind that bad habits can be easily restored if I am not constantly reminding my self to read dietary labels and to choose cooking over fast food options, especially on stress for days. And basically, in a nut shell, this how I pay tribute to Dr. Andrei, just knowing that he is dedicating his life to making the lives of people who struggle with weight issues an achievable goal towards better health is enough for me to want to make sure I do everything I can with my new tools for a healthier life. Dr. Andrei is the best His commitment towards patient goal satisfaction is his top priority.
DR. ANDREI IS A VERY CARING PHYSICIAN WHO WILL TAKE TIME TO GET TO KNOW EACH AND EVERY ONE OF HIS PATIENTS THEREBY UNDERSTANDING WHAT IT ENTAILS FOR INDIVIDUAL SUCCESSFUL WEIGHT LOSS GOALS. MOST IMPORTANTLY, HIS OFFICE STAFF ARE VERY DEDICATED AND VERY SUPPORTIVE, I ALWAYS FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE DURING MY VISITS. I HAVE KNOWN DR. ANDREI FOR AT LEAST FIVE YEARS AND HAVE COME TO TRUST AND DEPEND ON HIS EXPERTISE, SO THIS GOES WITHOUT SAYING, I AM CONFIDENT THAT MY FUTURE WILL BE A MUCH BRIGHTER AND HEALTHIER ONE. Dr.Andrei is one in a million. He is dedicated to his patients. He is compassionate, understanding,and committed. His staff is nothing short of amazing too. They are attentive , kind and extremely helpful and responsive. I feel very lucky to be treated by this great group of people. I would and do highly recommend Dr.Andrei and his staff.
Dr. Andrei is terriffic. He has an incredible understanding and empathy of the struggles that obesity presents. My surgery was on 10-26-09...best decision I've ever made for myself. Dr Andrei and his staff have been there for me thoughtout my whole process and continue to monitor me. As I said before I travel an hour to visit the office and look forward to every visit. My questions are always answered in a timely manor and I have no complaints about my care since the surgery. i recommend Dr Andrei to anyone who is thinking about surgery.
At my first visit to Dr. Andrei's office, I was made to feel like I had been a longtime patient. Dr. Andrei's staff was extremely knowledgable and friendly. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Andrei. His explanation of the surgerical procedure and options were extremely thorough. Dr. Andrei fully recommends aftercare visits and support programs. I was provided daily follow-up telephone calls by Dr. Andrei for the two weeks following my surgery to monitor my at home progress. I have traveled over an hour each way to both Dr. Andrei's office and St. Barnabas Hospital and my experience was pleasant. I would highly recommend Dr. Andrei and his staff to anyone considering bariatric surgery.
