My first impression of Dr. Spaulding was a caring and very personable doctor. My impression has not changed. Her office staff are the nicest people you would ever want to work with. They are there when you need them and more than understanding. Dr. Spaulding has a very structured aftercare program and makes sure you adhere to it. She was very up front about the risks involved with the surgery. I give her a very good rating overall. She is great at both surgical competence and a wonderful bedside manner.
Dr. Spaulding was amazing and so is her staff. They take great care of you and make you feel like family. They celebrate your achievements and stick by you. The pre and post care were great. I had surgery over two years ago and still look forward to talking to Dr. Spaulding and her staff. I very highly recommend her.
my first impression was very good she is very forward about the whole thing.my impression has not changedat all.Her whole staff are very nice people they treat you like a person not a fat person.there is nothing that i did't like about them.she is very strict about you not missing any appointments and the after care of the surgrey.she emphasizes a lot about the after care of the surgery.yes she does have a structured after care.she is very honest about the surgrery and the risks .i rate her overall a 10.both are great.
Dr. Spaulding is such a KIND person. I did not feel uncomfortable around her, which I ususally do with any Dr. Her manager, Ginny and her dietician have been wonderful. I worked for a Dr. for almost 20 years and have had alot of experience with employees of physicians and I would rate Ginny and the dietician a 10! I was very impressed that they went to some workshops and brought back so much information on improving their program. It means alot to me as a patient to know that your Dr. supports her staff in attending these workshops and even more to hear the staff use other peoples ideas. If anyone has ANY urge to check out Dr. Spaulding, don't put it off. You will be pleasantly surprised.
My first impression of Dr. Spaulding was that she is very interested in what her patients are saying to her and does not look at the patient judgementally. To this day Dr. Spaulding has exhibited nothing but the utmost care and sensitivity to myself and my family. The office staff is wonderful and works very smoothly as a team. Dr. Spaulding and her team place a great deal of emphasis on the post-op care and follow-up visits. I attended my first support meeting last night at the office and the comments and feelings of the other patients made a great impact on my own feelings concerning gastric bypass surgery and brought up many questions and feelings that I have apparently suppressed for many years. Ginny does a wonderful job with the support group. Dr. Spaulding explained the complete procedure and all of the risks and benefits of the procedure to myself and my husband. She was honest and did not hesitate answering any questions that we had. She is wonderful and I would recommend Dr. Spaulding to anyone who is considering this surgery.
Dr. Spaulding was very imforative with the process I would be involved in from start to finish. She also was very descriptive in the surgery itself. What she was going to do and what I needed to do after the surgery.
Each visit was well planned and professional with a great reception from the staff of Dr. Spauldings office.
Dr. Spaulding is open to any questions that you may have and will go into detail with her answers.
Dr. Spaulding require that before the surgery that each patient attends a support group to speak with post op patients and to speak with the Dietian and view the portions of food you will be eating after surgery.
Dr. Spaulding gave the statics and the possible risks relating to the surgery.
Dr. Spaulding came acrossed as confident, professional and warm with a sense of humor.

I had heard nothing but praise about Dr. Spaulding before I made my consultation appt. Everything I had heard about her was confirmed when we met on 2/15/00. Her support staff was professional and very imformative. Her after care program consists of visits with a psycologist, nutritionist and weekly support group meetings with other patients. Dr. Spaulding is extremly personable and very thurough with her explanation of what to expect before and after surgery. Looking foward to surgery with out any worries, she makes you feel at ease and will answear any questions that you may have.
i was so unsure before seeing dr spaulding. i had always been told that people have lost staples and that the risks were too great! i even had a friend that had it back in 1982-1983 that the procedure did not work and so many complications! and up until i saw laurie spaulding, those fears were drilled i my head. laurie was so nice and caring. my husband and i had a 3 hr meeting with her, the dietition, and counseling {and to honestly admitt, i answer for the counseling service as well, so i know the dr's there}. laurie spaulding tells you like it is. she does not pull punches. and for me, i like that.
