Dr. Javier de la Garza is very professional. He is a caring physician and seems very knowledgeable in his field . I really liked that he has a very structured aftercare program. I am very pleased with him and if I would have to rate him I would give him an A+.
My patient coordinator was wonderful! She made the trip I made alone… not feel so lonely.
The nutritionist was very open to future questions and e-mails, besides her nutritional advice was very interesting.

Dr. Javier de la Garza is very professional but yet warm and reasonable. He
was always willing to answer all questions and allowed extra time so I could
come up with more. I should also say that I loved his politeness and
punctuality.

He made me understand that the band it's just a tool and my success
completely depends on proper aftercare. He also gave me a manual regarding
aftercare program. Dr. de la Garza was much more than I ever experienced

I'm impressed by the AMAZING services that Lite´n Free offered me when I was
going through such an important event in my life! First of all, Dr. de la
Garza is a great surgeon, I'm so thankful to him! He is so smart, nice,
patient and he did a great job comforting me during my surgery process. The
only thing I can say is that I felt so comfortable and safe, which I think

the surgery, he very much emphasized that the band was only a tool and it

All facilities at OCA Hospital has far exceeded my expectations. The
hospital room was a five star, better than any room I've ever been in the
United States.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I have never seen doctors come to our
hotel room to introduce themselves, go over the procedure and answer any
questions. The anesthesiologist came and see me 3 times, two of them were
later, after my surgery to see how I was feeling, and if my throat was sore.
Our experience with Lite ´n Free was awesome! We couldn't have asked to be
treated any better.

Dr. Javier de la Garza is amazing! During my stay, he was very hospitable,
patient, and attentive to me and what I needed to know. He was so friendly
and even shared some of his personal experiences with me. That made him so
fun! He explained me everything I needed to know about aftercare and
emphasized that it was up to me to make the right decisions about my eating
and exercising habits. If I had to choose a doctor for a family member I
would choose Dr. de la Garza.
I'm really grateful to him and I will never stop thanking him for making
this wonderful experience.

I went to Monterrey with my two best friends, and we couldn't believe that a
hospital could have such beautiful facilities. The nurses were so nice and
helpful that it made us feel like family. I definitely felt like a queen!

I have no words to explain the amazing quality of the service. We arrived
without a hair dryer and we were allowed to borrow one from the
receptionist, and yet another went and purchased one for us! I'm

If I had to mention something, the only dislike I had was that the bed was a
bit hard for me, but everything else was great! I totally recommend the

The first impression I got from Dr. de la Garza was that he was very nice, friendly and eager to help and explain any question I had about the surgery. I felt he had a real concern for my welfare and he has a very good bedside manner, waiting to see if I had any problems or questions before leaving every time. The hotel room was nice and clean, although the beds were a little hard for my taste. The hospital room has a very nice bed which was comfortable, as well as a big screen TV and DVD which were good distractions from the post op pain. All my expectations were met during my stay at OCA Hospital, and I would recommend Lite´n Free and Dr. de la Garza to other thinking of getting this procedure.

Dr. de la Garza is a very nice man with a great sense of humor which is very comforting in the situation you are in going to Mexico for surgery. He has great bedside manners and I felt like I was his only patient. The thing I like least about him is that he is so far away from my home, I will miss him.
