Eric T. Vaughn Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Vaughn was awesome. He took the time to fully explain my surgery and made me comfortable so that I could openly ask questions. I am really impressed with his genuine concern for his patients. His bedside manner was awesome and backed up with excellent surgical experience. I really have nothing negative to say about my experience with Dr. Vaughn. In fact, I am so impressed that I am encouraging my sister and my best friend to have their surgeries done with him too.

My husband was completely against me taking the chance of having RNY until he met and talked with Dr. Vaughn. Dr. Vaughn is an exceptional person and surgeon and he made us feel very comfortable with the decision for me to have the surgery. He answered every question without batting an eyelash. In the hospital, he was so very attentive and pleasant and it seemed that he had all of the time in the world for my questions. On the day I was released from the hospital, I could have sworn that he choked up as he said "thank you for allowing me to be part of your new life". What kind of doctor talks to his patients like that? One heck of a wonderful one, is how I would answer that. He is a "must have" doctor when it comes to this surgery!!!!

Thanks to Barix and Dr. Vaughn, I am on my way to a better and healthier me!!

I really liked him. He put me at ease and explained everything I needed. His nurse was good too. I had my inital surgery with a different dr. in his office but did the pre and post consults with him and he did the incisional hernia repair. I didn't care for the other dr. but cant' remember his name off hand.

Dr. Vaughn,

This is a must have Dr. if you want someone that will take time with you to answer all your questions and not rush you. He has great attention to detail and serches out for more questions. I was very pleased with him.

I really liked him. He seemed to answer my husband's and my questions very well. My first impression was good.

He was very nice, was very interested in my personal story and needs. Made me feel really comfortable. My impression of him only got better. Every time I see him I like him more and more he is the greatest doctor I have ever met. His staff was very caring and concerned as well and they took great care of me. There is nothing I didnt like about Dr.Vaughn.If they want a great doctor who knows what he is doing and can make you feel very comfortable then he is for you. He emphasizes after care alot. He will tell you if you dont do the things he tells you to do then there will be consequences. He has a very structured aftercare program. But it is easy to follow. He went thru all the risks with me on more than one occasion to make sure I truly understood what was going on and he then gave me a chance to ask any questions that i had. Overall I would give him a rating of 200%. He is absolutly great it all aspsects of his care. I would reccomend him to everyone! He has a great surgical compidence as well as a great bedside manner. I never once had a bad feeling after seeing or talking with him. I can;t say it enough he is an absolutly great surgeon!!!!

Dr. Vaughn was a wonderful doctor and I would recommend him highly.

I REALLY LIKED DR VAUGHN WHEN I FIRST MET HIM
HE ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS AND MY HUSBAND'S QUESTIONS. HE DIDN'T ACT LIKE HE
WAS IN ANY HURRY TO GET OUT OF THE ROOM. HE WANTED TO MAKE SURE I HAD ALL THE INFO I NEEDED. THEN I SAW HIM THE DAY OF SURGERY
AND AT MY 2 WEEK POST OP.
EVERYONE WAS REALLY HELPFUL BEFORE MY SURGERY. I ONLY WENT BACK FOR MY 2 WEEK
POST OP. I HAVE BEEN FEELING GREAT AND HAVE A
HARD TIME MAKING THAT 3 HOUR DRIVE.
SO, I GUESS AFTERCARE VISITS WEREN'T REALLY
EMPHASIZED.
I HAVE NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY, I WAS TREATED
GREAT. THE STAFF GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND. I
NEVER FELT FEARFUL OR HAD 2ND THOUGHTS.

Dr. Vaughn is a very kind, caring doctor...during my first consult with him he made my husband and I feel very comfortable...he went into detail about the surgery...the risks...the benefits...and exactly how he proforms the surgery...of course I was nervous and I'm sure my husband was to a certain degree but Dr. Vaughn talked to us like we had known him for years...we chatted about other things besides the surgery making the whole experience very pleasing...not only was he very informative...straight forward and open...he was very caring in making sure we understood everything he just told us...he was very clear about the importance of aftercare and how this surgery isnt just like a production line to make money and then on to the next...he REALLY cares about his patients and wants the best care for them and wants to make sure he gives each and everyone one of them 100%...I'll say this also...a short time ago I was confusing myself about the different procedures I was reading about on the boards and I posted something about it and he read it and CALLED ME PERSONALLY!!!...now how many doctors would take the time to call one of their patients to make sure she is ok and is getting all the right information about anything let alone WLS?...he is a wonderful man and a caring doctor and I am sooooo happy I found him...I have FULL confidence in him and I'm looking forward to having him do my surgery!

The only negative thing I would have to say about my consult experience was with the girl that came in to talk to us after Dr. Vaughn was done...both my husband and I felt like she was cold and seemed to be rushed...she just wanted to tell her story and get out of there...but who knows she may have just been having a bad day! ;-)

I think he is a great person and I think that he is just as good as a surgeon. He took all the time that I needed to answer my questions and to let me have it.
