Dr. Dewitt is absolutely the best !! And I sincerely mean that too. My first impression of Dr. Dewitt was a man that was very down to earth yet very concerned. His office staff is absolutely the greatest and also very concerned and always willing to go the extra mile for the patient. I cannot think of one thing negative to say about Dr. Dewitt or his staff. He is a surgeon with EXPERIENCE and that is what definitely made me decide to go with him. His statistics says it all.His entire office staff is very much at your beckon call. Laurie helped me with the financing aspect and Judy is a excellent office nurse. They always had time to talk to me on the phone. Dr. Dewitt has a nurse named Stephanie that will follow you from the first hello to absolute completion. She taught my pre op classes and was there with me into surgery and was the first sweet face I saw when I woke up. She was in my room many times every day and helped me obtain medications if needed and answered all my questions. They both addressed the risks of surgery. Dr. Dewitt had two fellow residents who also gave me excellent care. They monitored everything very closely. I would rate Dr. Dewitt and his entire staff with a A PLUS !! His bedside manner and surgical competence were both excellent.rn

I love Dr. DeWitt. Very informative. Everyone in his office is very involved. When I called after hours he was usually the one that called me back from the answering service right after surgery.

The first impression I had of Dr. DeWitt came back in 2003 when my husband, Nick, attended Dr. DeWitt's weight loss surgery seminar. He was very professional, informative and at the same time, having a down to earth, and very likeable personality. During the many more appointments and encounters Nick and I would have with the good doc, we would come to know that he was genuine, caring, non-judgmental, and one very skilled, competent surgeon. Dr. DeWitt never fails to have time for each patient...this is priceless. He has an awesome aftercare program which includes a great support group of wls patients. Now, after all that I have witnessed my husband experience under the care of Dr. Andrew DeWitt, there is simply no question as to who I want to do my surgery. Dr. Dewitt and his office staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very quick in getting my paperwork sent off to my insurance company and I was approved in less than a week of them sending it. Praise God! Dr. Dewitt was very thorough in explaining the procedure and gave me plenty of time to ask questions. He covered things very well and I was impressed with him. He is quite young and only been practicing for 3 years, but I am putting my faith in him thoroughly. The best way to describe Dr. DeWitt is to say he is top notch. He addressed all of my questions promptly. His staff was very efficient. However, due to the high demand for his services, they seem overwhelmed at times. rnI have been approved by my insurance company and I am waiting for a date to be scheduled for my surgery. This part of the process is the part I like the least. Dr. DeWitt's staff and the folks who did my psych eval have been \"on the ball\"; however, the personnel at Carraway don't seem to be up to the same standards. My EKG and ECHO were done about a month ago at the hospital. As of 3-15-07, Dr. DeWitt hasn't received the results. However, his office personnel are putting in extra effort to resolve this issue.rnEveryone reading this review should keep in mind that these comments are my personal opinions based on my experiences up to this point.

My first impression of Dr. DeWitt was that he was a very patient & caring doctor. His office staff is also wonderful and is concerned about your needs. Future patients should know that Dr. DeWitt will do everything possible to make you comfortable, he is also very good in thorougly describing the risks associated with surgery. Dr. DeWitt has a very structured aftercare program and emphasizes that it is very important that you follow it. I would give Dr. DeWitt a 10++++. He is excellent and would use him again in a heartbeat!

DR.DEWITT IS THE BEST SURGEON I HAVE EVER MET.HE TREATS YOU WITH RESPECT.HE'S SO GOOD BY THE TIME HE WENT OVER EVERYTHING WITH ME. AND HE ASKED IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS I HAD NONE BECAUSE HE HAD COVERED EVERTHING SO WELL.HE PUTS YOUR WELL BEING FIRST AND TAKES ALL THE THE RIGHT PRECAUTIONS THAT HE KNOWS IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST.I GIVE HIM AND HIS STAFF A 10 AND WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE.

I still am very pleased with Dr. Dewitt. I have had some problems (frozen shoulder) that has caused me to not reach my goal as quickly as I wanted, but Dr. Dewitt was very kind on my last visit telling me that it would be best if I could reach our goal weight, but even if I didn't I was still a sucess.

My mother used Dr. DeWitt in 2003. I have had several other family members (cousins) use him as well. Never heard anything, but good about him. I think Dr. DeWitt is very knowledgeable. He has a wonderful bed side manner and seems to really care about his patients. I would DEFINATELY recommend Dr. DeWitt to anyone considering this surgery or any other type of surgery. He takes time with his patients and answers any and all questions you may have.
