Taking over a month to get consultation appt. makes me think he is really busy.. Think this could be good or maybe bad..

My first impression of Dr. Saber was he is a very busy person but he was also very concerned about my health and how he can make my life better. My impression has not changed, Dr. Saber is a very busy person but he is very committed to improving the life quality of anyone that is overweight and is looking for help.rnrnDr. Saber’s staff is the best and very committed to their patients. Just know that Dr. Saber is not a very chatty person and he is a very caring and committed Dr. Do not expect the normal visit you may have with your family Dr. with Dr. Saber, it is in and out.rnDr. Saber cannot stress upon his patients the importance of aftercare, he can give you the tools to manage your weight but he cannot eat for you or exercise for you. Dr. Saber does host a support group at his office on the 3rd Wednesday of every month and also has requires you to sign a contract that you will follow a structured program for at least one year.rnrnDr. Saber gives an informational talk 2 times a month at Bronson and Borgess Hospital with very detailed information about the advantages and risk of the 3 types of WLS. This is the first mandatory step for anyone that is considering WLS. rnrnI have done a lot of home work before I had my WLS and after and from my own experience Dr. Saber is one of the best in the field of WLS, if you are thinking about having WLS the first and best decision you can/will make is having Dr. Saber as your surgeon. Overall you are in the best hands possible. rnrnI know this review is very positive and I wish I could give some negative feedback but I just cannot. I may just be the poster child for WLS. rn

Dr. Saber is a kind man. He makes sure that you have an understanding of what is to come and what will be expected of you afterwards. rnrnHis direct office staff is great.rnrnI would have to say the least thing I like is the amount of one on one time, he always seems to be in a hurry. I feel I spend more time with his residents/office staff then with him. rnrnOverall I would rate Dr. Saber a 9.

Dr Horgan was pleasant, informed, and answered every question I had completely. He is professional and I felt very confident that this was the right surgeon for me. The team is pleasant and prompt at returning my calls, etc. I felt that I coordinated my pre-op care myself and feel very similar now that I am post op. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic, but I thought I'd be led through this process in a structured way and that didn't happen. It seemed that everyone wasn't always aware of where I was in the process and that was frustrating. My surgery went well - Dr. Horgan was exactly what I wanted - competent, confident, and his bedside manner was pleasant, although that was not a priority, just a bonus.rnrn5/1/2007 I had a revision done by Dr. Saber in Kalamazoo. My band had slipped and I had a large hiatal hernia. Dr. Saber is very nice.rnHas a lot more experience with bypass than lapband, but did his homework to fix my problem and give me another lapband.

Dr. Saber was very caring and kind. His staff also went the extra mile. He gave me his cell phone number and I could call him with any questions or concerns.rnrn There was a very mild complication with the Surgery. A stitch was causing me allot of pain. He realized that I needed to get this taken care of ASAP and he responded quickly relieving the stitch that was causing the pain.rnrnMy only complaint would be that he is very busy and its hard at times to get appointments. Although I have to say that they got me into surgery quickly because of my time frame and I'm sure that added to his patient load.rnrn

I went to Dr. Saber's seminar at Bronson in August and I thought he was great! He answered ALL of my questions (I had a ton), he made me laugh and I could tell he cared about me-Immediately.rnI have since seen him in the office and he seemed busy but he still took time to answer my questions (yes, I had more) and I like the fact that he looked directly at me and even patted my hand as if to say, \"I understand and I am here for you\". I felt very at ease with him.rnHe explained all the testing/specialist consults he requires before surgery and the importance of them-I appreciated how careful he is and although it seems like an awful lot of appointments/testing, I am willing/ready to do anything he wants because I trust him.

He is so wonderful, right from the start he made me feel secure. The staff is wonderful and helpful.rnrnYou would never find another Doctor like Dr. Saber!!! He is so kind and treats you as if you were one of his realatives not a patient.

My first impression of Dr. Saber was that he was a quite, but caring man. I can say that he answered any questions that I had and he made sure I didn't have any more questions or concerns before I left the office. I have been going through all the testing and hope to get an answer about surgery sometime in early November. I will post more as time gets closer. Can't wait for my date, I am very confident in Dr. Saber's ability.

The office staff are very nice and extremely helpful. Dr. Saber is friendly, but he seems very busy. I work in a hospital and have heard that he is very skilled when it comes to bariatric surgery; so I feel very safe. rnUPDATE: I had my Lap Band on 7-24-07; everything went well. Dr.Saber did a great job. He is very friendly and always asks me if I have any questions. I am very happy to have him as my surgeon.

I absolutely love Dr. Saber. He is ever so kind and caring. He is genuinely concerned about your thoughts and opinions. He answers every question with authentic concern and accuracy. Pat, his nurse, is outstanding. The office works like a well oiled machine. I would reccomend him to anyone. He is humble, yet confident. He is knowlegable and has a great bed side manner. I am fully confident in his capabilities as my surgeon and trust him impecably.
