When it come to research for a Bariatric Surgeon Dr.Saber is the one !!!! Since my first appt to get elevated to see if I was eligible he was very focus and alert when it came to answering questions , His concern for the patient well being was on point and he is very well details on explaining the procedure ...... He performed my gastric sleeve as well as my revision and both were a success !!!!!

Dr. Saber is a wonderful doctor for a weight loss surgery. He did a gastric bypass and remove my gallbladder. In both occasions his staff and him had me feel comfortable and confidence in what I did. It’s been a year and so far everything has been great. I have even recommended friends to him and they have done the surgery also without a problem. I will always recommend Dr. saber and staff at Brooklyn hospital. Thank you Dr. Saber for the wonderful job you do for all of us, you really care

I met with Dr. Saber about one month ago and he is by far one of the most pleasant and charming docs i've ever met. I totally believe he is going to be my miracle man. He is supposed to be really great at what he does and he had so much time to meet with me. He wanted to answer every question I could think of. AMAZING

Likable he was very likable and knowledgable. My impression of him didn't really change I was very happy with him. Very helpful and understanding my insurance went though 3 different changes and they were always there to help me though it. Aftercare is a very big deal you really need to follow the guidelines that he gives you

I had my VSG on July 28, 2009 at Bronson Hospital here in Kalamazoo. I could not be happier with Dr. Saber, his staff, Bronson Hospital, and choosing the VSG.

My journey started in March when I first met with Dr. Saber. I had only recently became aware of the VSG by doing research on-line. When I first met with Dr. Saber, he indicated it was the ideal option for me (originally I was leaning toward the lap band). I trusted his advice. I also liked that Dr. Saber has you get the operation cleared with a variety of medical professionals (ie., cardiologist, psychiatrist, etc.) It really makes you aware of your overall health.

Like others say, Dr. Saber is a man of few words. He is a very nice man and someone you would like to just sit and talk to. He gets to the point and moves on. The most important thing is his surgery skills, not his speaking skills.

After the operation I had NO pain, nausea, or vomiting. Dr. Saber is sure to follow-up on your progress.

Today is 9/18/09 and I just hit the 80 lb. lost mark yesterday. I don't know if you can questions of me through this forum, but if you can, please do not hesitate to cntact me. You can trust Dr. Saber's abilities and I recommend him and the VSG to anyone.

I have to say that Dr. Saber is a great doctor. My first impression of him was that he was a man that knew what he was doing, and wanted to do what was best for his patients. The staff in his office always went above and beyond the call of duty for me. I am such a worry wart, and I was always calling them for one thing or another. Not one time were they rude to me. I will say that Dr.Saber is a very busy man, so he comes in says what he has to say.....answers your questions and then he has to leave. Although I was unsure if I wanted the Sleeve or the RNY. Dr. Saber called me and stayed on the phone with me for liek 30 mins answering any questions that I had. That made me feel very good about the man I was trusting with my life. After care and following his instructions is #1. He is very honest about the risks involved with this type of surgery, and lets you know that this is just a tool.....the hard work must still be done. Over all I think I would rate him as a 9 on a scale of 1-10...10 being the best. I think surgical competence and bedside manner both count, and Dr. Saber has both.

I was very pleased with Dr.Saber and his staff. Dr Saber set up surgery, anesthia cancelled it and I was so sad because of end of year deductible and he told me I will do this surgery before January if I have to come in on the weekend and do it. We meet the deadline I have the surgery December and was discharged home on Christmas eve. I did well. Dr. Saber sat at my bedside for quite some time a couple times and you don't see this anymore in the medical profession. Believe me I know i'm a LPN. Excellent rating on staff and surgeon. I wasn't overly impressed with Borgess nursing while at my stay. The rent a Nurse gave the best care.
