Excellent taste, one of the few bars I can eat. I usually only have 1/2 a bar as they are too big to eat at one time. I cut them up in slices, freeze them and have one or two slices throughout the day. I don't count the protein, just hope I'm getting in some extra. It's a nice treat and I have 1-2 bars total per week.

I do believe, however, there is an issue for the GBP person with protein absorbtion or breakdown from the chocolate coating. I don't think this would be a good source to count toward your daily protein intake even though it does have 32g/bar. (I think Michelle [vitalady.com] has the scoop on this) Still a delightful sweet treat!

There's a reason this bar flies off the shelves and it's because it's like eating a candy bar complete with the satisfying feeling of eating a candy bar yet you get over 30 grams of protein in each one. I LOVE Detour bars and have recommended them to everyone I know.
