I knew when I attended a seminar last summer that Dr. Dyer would be who I would like to perform my procedure. He was very through in his explanations and seemed to really know his \"craft\". He explained the risks associated with each type of surgery(realize band)and what to expect afterward. I would definitely recommend Dr. Dyer and his staff to anyone considering help with their obesity.rnrnThe office staff at Dr. Dyer's office is also friendly and helpful. They have been wonderful about answering my questions and concerns.

Dr. Dyer seemed extremely knowledgeable when I attended the seminar now over 1 year ago. His staff working the seminar was extremely helpful and kind and treated everyone with the respect we deserved. As time went on and I moved closer to making a decision, Dr. David Dyer and his staff were very helpful in providing me the information I needed to make the best decision for me both financially and health-wise for the long-term. One thing I found Dr. Dyer and his staff emphasize was following their \"lap band bible\" which outlines your diet and many other steps to follow in order to be successful with the surgery, and also focused on their support groups. Dr. Dyer sat down with me for a thorough review of each surgery option and I chose Lap-Band as my main option. On the day of surgery, prior to entering the operating room, Dr. Dyer greeted me, spoke with me briefly about the procedure, my concerns, and his expectations. The surgery went over great, all things considered, and my post-op follow ups have been tremendous. Dr. Dyer still stresses the diet and support groups and his staff mentioned I've done very good with the Lap-Band, now losing over 33% of my excess body weight in less than 4 months post-op, bringing my weight down to 290lbs (down from 370+ lbs). I am very satisfied with his staff's continued support and smiles, and his knowledgeable expertise in bariatric surgery.

I am doing great . Although no one could prepare me for the pain and discomfort of the first couple of days it quickly passed. I wold heartly recommend Dr. Dyer and his staff. He was awsome both to me and my family so far so good no problems. I had a geat experience and look foward to losing the rest of my weight .

Dr. Dyer was my Dr. of choice. I picked him because he seemed to be the type of Dr. who was not concerned with how many surgeries he could do in a day, but that that he was methodical with each one. I would rather have slow and steady every time and this was Dr. Dyer. I would refer him to anyone! rnrnThank you Dr. Dyer for all you do!

Dr. Dyer is very deadicated to his work. He is open to answer any questions and concerns you have. He makes sure you are following the program and really cares about his patients. I am glad I did not hesitate to choose him as my surgeon.

I attended 2 seminars while waiting for surgery apporval. I just chose randome seminars and both times they were with Dr. Dyer. So it was meant to be and I am glad he was my surgeon. He is very informative and takes the time to tell you everything, give you tools to use, makes sure you don't have any questions before surgery and makes you feel at ease. During my stay in the hospital he visited me daily and was not just in and out. He was truly concerned about how I was feeling and always asked if I needed anything. During my consults and post op visits he always explains how important it is to use all the tools, not just my new tummy but the nutritionist, the exercise physiologist and the psych dept. They are all tools that go hand in hand. His bedside manner is very professional. He is all business upfront but then relaxes and give you a smile and lets you know you are doing great and is concerned if you have any needs that aren't being met. I was looking for a great surgeon not a best friend and that is what i got. I will always recommend Dr. Dyer if anyone needs a referral. His office staff are always so nice and friendly, they are always eager to help and are compassionate and very professional. I rate my experience a 10+.

I am a 52 year old female that has had health issues all my life due to my weight. Dr. Dyer was suggested to me for help by a neighbor. When I first met him I thought he was so nice and did not see to just be there for the money, he truly cares about you as a person and is there to help you. I had my surgery on August 21,2008 and have lost 75 pounds since then and feel better then I have in years. I have been on diets off and on all my life and for the first time in my life I do not feel like I am on a diet anymore. Everyone in his office is so nice too. Your not just a number your a person and they treat you so nice and with care. You cant go wrong with Dr. Dyer or the surgery.rnrnAnna OllerrnBeechmont, Ky.

I had my first office visit with Dr. David Dyer on January 8, 2009. He and his staff were very friendly and nice. They seem to care about me and by problem as soon as they meet me. Dr. Dyer went over all the steps for my surgery and the risks of the surgery. He set my surgery for February 9, 2009 and put me on a liquid diet for the next 4 weeks so that he would be able to do the surgery by laparoscope. I lost 18lbs before surgery and have lost 32 more since the surgery. My last visit with Dr. Dyer was March 12, 2009 and everyone at his office was very nice and helpful. Dr. Dyer was pleased with my progress. I am very happy with Dr. Dyer and his staff and would recommend him to anyone that is thinking about surgery.rnrnWell I went to see Dr. Dyer today the 14th of March and know I have lost a total of 86 lbs. My BMI has dropped 16 points and I'm feeling so good. I can't wait until I have lost 14lbs more, then I will try and post my before picture and at 100lbs picture.

My first impression was that he was all business & really didn't care to be interrupted when talking, but was just who I wanted to do my surgery. This has not changed I still feel the same and would choose him again.rnThe office staff are fantastic. They are the nicest group of folks and I am looking forward to seeing them each chance I get. rnProbably the being interrupted when talking is the least that I like, I interrupt because if I wait until your are finished I'll forget what I was gonna ask.And if I write it down I'm not hearing.rnFuture patients of Dr.O. should simply know that he is fantastic!rnHe is big on aftercare, not drill sergant big but it is emphasized greatly.rnHe addressed the risk of surgery point blank. He compared the risks to my previous surgeries and made the risk clearer.rnI give Dr. Douglas Olsen a big ole \"10\".rnBoth his surgical competence and bedside manner are Fabulous!!!!

My first impression was that he was very professional, and that has not changed. rnrnThe office staff is wonderful...Kathy and Eloise both visited me in the hospital 2 days in a row. All have answered my questions promply and go above and beyond. rnrnThere is realy nothing i don't like about Dr. Olsen. Some people may find him \"cut & dry\", but I kndda like that. I have had 2 incidences that he has called me himself, one was to answer a question. That really, really impressed me as i am a healthcare provider and beleive me that is not the norm for surgeons. rnrnHe is a big advocate for aftercare and their program is wonderful.rnrnHe did adress the risks of surgery several times and even when in holding askedif i still wanted to go through with it.rnrnOverall I know i picked a great surgeon, I feel he is the best.
