SALVADOR D. His professional experience spans over twenty years beginning with his service as a Combat Medical Specialist (1983-87) and Medical NCO for the United States Army (1987-89) to becoming one of the Chief Residents of General Surgery Residency at the 350 bed facility, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. He finished a year-long fellowship on Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery. His first practice was in Columbus, Ohio area at the Bariatric Specialists of Ohio and he successfully performed hundreds of laparoscopic and open bariatric surgeries as well as general surgical cases. He was then invited to establish the Bariatric Surgery Program at Pikeville Medical Center and became its first medical director. Because of his excellent surgical and clinical outcome, he is then brought into the Ocala Regional Medical Center (ORMC) to lead the center-of-excellence designated Bariatric Surgery Program.
