8/24/01 Surgery consult went fine. Seemed to be very knowledgeable about the procedure and wanted me to know many things regarding the procedure. He is planning on having a full support system in place for his patients to utilize (support group, physician assistant/dietitian contact, nutrition training with hands-on learning to cook special pureed foods, etc. I cannot schedule the surgery until I get insurance approval so the saga continues. I feel that the surgeon has a very good bedside manner. Seems most surgeons (in my experience of course) are lacking in that area; this one is not. ;o)
